Game Thread W9 - Houston V Oakland (1 Viewer)

Is Lamont even playing??
I don't think there's a soul out there watching this game.
Isn't this game only being shown in Oakland and Houston and blacked out everywhere else? I believe I heard that earlier in the week.
Raiders didn't sell out so the game is blacked out there & the NFL took pity on them & is allowing the Indy Pats game to be aired instead. The only city in the entire nation not getting the Indy Pats game, is Houston. Man I feel for 'em.

Jordan finally in the game - Im shocked. Why would the Raiders want to use their best RB? I f'n hate this team.

It's a little disconcerting that FBG had Lamont at #12 prior to the game... I played him in one league debating between him, Grant and McGahee... and didn't see anything about him being inactive. And as I'm writing this, he gets a catch for 13 yds and a rush for 5. But why did Fargas get 7 first?

There have been several threads in the Shark pool this week about how Jordan may be on the outs and how Fargas would get a chance. While nothing was known for sure, if you started Jordan and had other good options, well, you should have known better if you were paying attention around here.

Remember, these are the Raiders we're talking about.

I'm curious who was actually in there during the first series that was a three and out, since then the box score kinda looks like they are alternating.

Kiffin said all week long that he would game plan Fargas in more.

Janikowski had plenty of leg from SIXTY-FOUR YARDS, but just barely doinked it off the upright. Could have been good from 70. WOW!

Is Russel active? Becuase if he is... he's GOT to be better than McCown right now.
Raiders | Week 9 InactivesSun, 4 Nov 2007 12:26:20 -0800

The Oakland Raiders have declared QB Andrew Walter, CB Chris Johnson, DL Gerard Warren, C Jake Grove, QB JaMarcus Russell, CB John Bowie, OT Mario Henderson, LB Sam Williams inactive for Week 9.

I have no words for the Raiders backfield situation.

I'll have to say that I must be wrong b/c Fargas is doing pretty good.

Still can't believe Jordan is now 2nd stringer. Please come to GB Lamont now.

Fargas starting to roll it seems.
That's too bad, considering that he's not as good a player as a completely healthy Jordan.
Definitely better than Jordan right now though. You have to wonder if Jordan will ever be able to get back to 100% again.
Was that pun intended?
No, I'm not clever.
Aw c'mon now. I guess the blind squirrel applies then.

As a Jordan and Fargas owner, I could care less who the starter/primary ball carrier is, but it would have been nice for Lane to have let me know before game time.

He did, you just weren't paying attention. It was a 50/50 split in carries last week & all this week leading up to the game, Kiffin had been saying he was going to get Fargas even more involved. There were a few threads here in the Shark Pool talking about it.

I had read the rumors of Lamont being cut and I did notice the carry split and the Lane statement. However, I tried not to read too much into the coach speak as they always lie through their teeth (i.e. Dungy saying RBBC with Keith last week and then Addai totally dominating the touches last week and this week so far). I try to read between the lines but love the hard cold facts. How hard would it have been for Lane to say "Fargas is our starter"? I will win but stilll point to the shirt. :excited:
