Look this is a rumpr and I cant back it up. But there is a titans insider named 'bongo' that always seems to know good info.

He says he expects Lendale White to sit lot and Henry and Brown to get a lot of work.

Quote:

the guys are in meetings now.............but most of you know that i have been telling you for several weeks about the ST plays they have in............well they worked on many of them tonight at the walk through.............really expect to see some magic tomorrow............Fish loves starting the second half of the season with new tricks.............

Henry is going to be on KO........and Griffin has his own little package............watch 22 and 30 as well.............

The team is extremely fired up...........very spirted and they know the rest of the league is paying attention..............they gave out the most media passes since 2003.............for this game...............I expect CH and CB to get alot of work............i think LW is going to be saved for MNF.........and to get a breather..............CH is going to be off a month and Chow and Fisher think his speed will cause the Jags problems on cut backs..............VY has looked bad this week.............but he has several called runs in...........and I think that is what will get him rolling.............

my prediction............CH and Griffin have their coming out party

A couple other things about the run game and titans in general.

Quote:

honestly i dont think how VY plays matters this week.................this week they will pick each other up..............Fish showed the team tonight that no one player will have to make a super human effort.............it will be each guy picking up his mate...........no matter what the circumstances.............no matter how bad one side plays............the remainder of the season...............he showed them a collage...........of examples.............then he told them...............you have chance to exceed something he never thought he see.............the 85 Bears...........he made them a promise............said the gun would be fully loaded from here on out...........what ever they needed on D on O or ST...........he was with them all the way...............the bottomline............he beleives and now that elitelness was brought up by the one guy who never talks about it................well...............they are ready to show everyone else.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

lets say they know they can do things to anyone right now.............and they are gonna impose themselves on folks..............if it means running it 45 times for 3 yds a pop and taking heat so be it...........if it means playing on a razors edge..............dont worry..............our D has that number.............if it means we need to kick 4 FGs and no Td's to beat a bad team...........no problem...........my birons.............if it means getting 2 feet to close out a game............Fish is going for it on 4th..............he told them that...........he said I got your back..............and they went nuts.

Its on.

According to Jim Wyatt, Brown is not likely to play
So, if they want to "save" White for next week, maybe they'll just run Henry into the ground (knowing that he's going to be sitting for the next 4 weeks)??
That's off on a tangent type thinking(rumor above plus this) that Fisher doesn't do. He's very much a week to week type coach and so he's only concerned with Jax. I'd roll with Wyatt and Fisher's comments and/or injury report at Titansonline saying how he looked at practice over some rumor

Geesh guys cmon now

(on the development of LenDale White)

“He did some good things for us last year. He was in a position to back-up Travis Henry. I thought he had a good off-season. He overcame some injuries during the off-season and had a productive training camp and pushed through some things. He appears to be strengthening as the year goes on and I think that’s a mark of a good back. He’s able to get out on the practice field, he’s finishing games and he’s a different style of runner. His two- or three-yard carries in the first quarter over the last couple weeks have become six- and eight-yard carries in the fourth and that’s the kind of back that we’ve been looking for for a number of years.”

At running back, LenDale White had full participation in practice Friday after being limited Thursday with a toe injury. Chris Brown, nursing a high left ankle sprain, got limited work early in practice Friday. He has not played the past three games.

Rookie Chris Henry, who has appealed his four-game suspension for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, has up to 20 days to have the appeal heard and is expected to be available Sunday. He can drop the appeal at any time and begin serving the punishment.

This is Thursday

Titans running back Chris Brown returned to the practice field Wednesday for his first full session since Oct. 12, two days before he suffered a high ankle sprain against the Buccaneers.

Brown split carries with rookie Chris Henry. LenDale White was given the bulk of a short practice off to rest a sore toe

"I think Chris is ready to come back, but Coach Fisher has to decide what we're going to do," White said. "Chris looked real good. He had some time off and he told me he feels good, so we'll be happy to see him back."

Henry has appealed a

four-game suspension for a violation of the league's steroid and related banned substances policy. He could continue to play during the appeals process, which means Brown could get one more week of rest.

"I am practicing, and we'll take it as it comes," Henry said. "It is tough to have the possibility that you are not going to be able to play for a while, but we'll handle it day by day and try and get through it.''

This is Friday

Running back Chris Henry practiced again on Thursday and said he's expecting to play on Sunday against the Jaguars.

Henry, who has appealed his suspension for violation of the league's steroid and related banned substances policy, said he expects the decision on whether he'll play or go ahead and start serving his 4-game suspension now or later to be made by the team. Fisher said the decision is Henry's.

Regardless, indications are Henry will play on Sunday against a Jacksonville defense on which the Titans piled up 282 yards in Week One.

"We were able to put up some really good rushing numbers, but they have a tough defense," Henry said. "I'm sure they've made some adjustments."

Chris Brown, who's missed the last three games with a high left ankle sprain, could be in line for one more week of rest. He had a full practice Wednesday but was limited Thursday. He rated his ankle at 90 or 95 percent.

"It feels good, I've been out at practice running around and doing things, so hopefully we can see what happens on Sunday," said Brown, who accounted for 175 yards on 19 carries in the opener. "It'll ultimately come down to Coach Fisher's decision. If he wants me to go out there, I'll go out there and perform."

 White was limited early in the week, but was full strength by the end - Chrissy was the opposite - y'all do the math. White has 25+ carries the last 3 weeks in a row - and the Titans have won every game. Seriously, if anyone wants to start a Tennessee RB other than White, my only hope is that you're playing against me

ETA: If I had to pick a second, Henry would be the obvious play. Brown could use the rest and WILL need to back up White if Henry drops his appeal (which he is expected to do). Therefore the Titans will likely use Henry this week (while they can), let him serve the suspension starting next week and Brown will be ready then.

This is Saturday

RB situation: Indications are running back Chris Henry will play Sunday and wait to withdraw his appeal of a suspension for violating the NFL's steroids and related substances policy.

Running back Chris Brown, still slowed by a sprained ankle that kept him out of the past three games, practiced Friday. Fisher said Brown is improving "but he's still on our injury report."

Henry has 20 days to withdraw his appeal and is expected to do so next week, when he would begin serving a four-game suspension. That would open the door for Brown's return on Nov. 19 against the Broncos.

ETA in regards to Brown-

Note how Wyatt goes from hopeful on Thursday to "could be in line for one more week of rest" on Friday to "nov 19 return against the Broncos" on Saturday.

He's a well respected Titans reporter for the Tennessean, while it's merely opinion I recommend you roll with it.

Bongo right...bongo know football...never doubt bongo or bongo smash.

Any predictions on what White and Henry does with Brown definitely out now:

Jags good against the D - FBG:

LW 20 rushes for 80 yds and .7 TD

CH 3 rushes for 12 yds and .1 TD * Note - I think this projection was before Brown was listed as out

Side note: I would love to request from FBG - for Sunday morning news impacts on projections - in other words:

CH 3 rushes for 12 yds and .1TD as original projection....Then on Breaking News - the forecast is updated with Brown out - Henry now 7 rushes for 25 yds and .2 TD.....I had the same issue with Selvin Young this week....
