Official Deion Branch Thread (1 Viewer)

Apparently the media is excluded from that practice so the only thing we'll get is what the coaching staff will tell us and I'll bet that will be very little. GTD. And the league I have him in requires lineups at kickoff today. Bench for me.

This is from FoxSports' John Czarnecki. Keep in mind he's batting about .000000000000000000002 this season when it comes to his forecast but this is all I've seen so far today.

"there's a good chance of Seattle WR Deion Branch playing"

Have any Seattle homers heard anything about whether he practiced yesterday? I'm shocked the beat writers have given so little coverage to this and Alexander's status (only saw one story about him) after yesterday's practice.

The media is excluded from Saturday's practice - although you would hope someone would have questioned Holmgren after practice.

They still found out that Alexander practiced. They could easily have asked players or assistant coaches if Branch practiced assuming Holmgren wasn't available. You don't have to be at practice to find out practice info if you're a good beat writer.

Not much here, but every tidbit seems to help.

branch info near bottom of page

The former Super Bowl MVP ran on the side without apparent pain or hindrance while the rest of the Seahawks practiced. He got a more extensive test in practice on Saturday. If Branch can't, Nate Burleson and D.J. Hackett will likely start again at wide receiver.

My bet is he'll suit up. Players don't like to miss Monday night games.
Is noone concerned with his lack of practice time his lack of timing with hassell and the chance of rain?I can see him suiting up but having limited plays and getting limited looks when in now next week he should be 100% in the gameplan any thoughts

At this point, I'm benching him and just hoping for some limited play Monday, no set back, then 100% next week. Next week is a big game for me, head to head with division rival- so I'm just hoping for no injuries and a full healthy lineup with Branch then.

ps. Saw a Fantasy Report on cable and they said Branch has a good chance of playing, but at best will see limited snaps

Bumping on the off change there is any Sunday night update on this guy. My opponent is down 11 and has just Branch left so I'm very interested in his status.

I just need Branch to get 100 percent healthy for the playoffs. Right now my team is on auto-pilot and just secured #1 spot for playoffs this weekend but I know I'll need him for the stretch run baby!

here's a second source:

Branch (foot) will not play in Monday night's game against the 49ers, KING-TV Seattle reports.

Spin: Coach Mike Holmgren said he will hold Branch out this week but expects him to play next week against Chicago. The Seahawks will lean on D.J. Hackett and Bobby Engram as their primary receivers.
