Three games last year that were played on the national stage showcased the best of Seattle's weather:
In Week 9 vs the Raiders, I don't recall it being too atypcial, but it certainly was pouring prior to the game, and it rained during the game as well, resulting in pretty sloppy play on a bit of a chewed-up field. If I recall, Moss had more drops than catches that night. Sad night for this Raiders fan.
In Week 12 vs the Packers, cold temperatures swept through the region, causing it to snow for the first time ever in a SEA home game. If I recall, the snow stopped at halftime, but where I live only 20 miles East of the city, the snow fell to a foot and a half of thickness -- more in some areas east and north of the city. Remember it well as I had to abandon my car in the parking lot of a Home Depot and trudge straight uphill the last 3 miles of my commute.
In Week 15 vs the Niners, a windstorm swept the northwest, with hurricane-force winds recorded upwards of 90 mph in the area -- it was the worst storm the area had seen in over 10 years, and over 1 million people lost power for days thanks to the storm crippling 75% of PSE's circuits -- some in my neghborhood were without power for weeks. The airport was shut down for a few days, and even the local paper could not put out its next day edition.
Bottom line is that the weather here is fairly volatile, and often changes rapidly. Seems that the wind is slated to die down around 4, and I do believe that while it may be a little windy at gametime, the major 40-60 mph gusts will have passed. If anything, we might see some showers, but that's nothing new for this team in gametime.
