Game Thread W11 - Carolina V Green Bay (1 Viewer)

Carolina historically is a great road dog, especially against competition that is expected to win. Carolina's defense has single-handedly kept them in games of late. If - that's a big if, they can get a decent pass rush, they could make some plays on defense that might make or break the game. Carolina has an uncanny ability to play to the level of their opponent. This is not an easy out. :scared:

This appears to be a perfect storm for Green Bay. That's what has me worried. If Carolina can't rush Favre, they will lose and lose big. Is Smith a go for the Panthers? If not, the Pack might win this by 20+

Smith is out. But they do have Testeverde under center, so they've got that going for them.

Carolina looks like a JV squad. Grant is running the ball very well.

Anyone expect anything else??Christ, the team has to decide between David "I love to get sacked" Carr or Grandpa..

Add in Smith inactive and you have a "over before it began" game.

I am not watching this game. I am a Ryan Grant owner... Does it look like GB is committed to running the ball?
They didn't look committed to running the ball for awhile. But the last drive it looked better.
Grant did not have much room early. Carolina was keeping 7-8 guys in the box and GB adjusted and threw it around a bit.A few alignment adjustments by both teams and Grant started breaking a few nice runs.

No, I pretty much expected it, but sometimes even good teams can make bad teams look better. This is not happening today. The Packers D is flying to the ball and looking for stats to boost their chances for a trip to Hawaii.

These referee's are horrible, on both sides.

How can you recover a fumble, but not have a clear recovery when there is only one guy on the ball?

And how can you have a PI call when the WR goes out of bounds and is ineligible to catch the ball? Then you review it? For what?

well, when the QB is old enough to be your Dad you tend to try your best to help him along.

The fumble recovery went against Carolina. Favre fumbled it, it was recovered by Carolina, in the review the Ref said it was a fumble but there was no clear recovery. However the replay showed only Peppers on the ball, with Tauscher laying next to him..... hilarious.
