**OFFICIAL MNF THREAD** (1 Viewer)

I need Keith Bulluck to outscore Van den Bosch by 17 points.

LETS DO THIS!!

After last nights debacle, I'm just hoping for a really good game. Would love to see both these teams look like playoff contenders and put up plenty of points.

The two longest tenured coaches (with their current team) are facing each other tonight. :goodposting:

Denver is tough at home but I'm just not sure they can stop the running game of Tennessee.

Line of the year for Kornheiser there.. "Seifert always reminded me of a jewel theif.."

First funny thing Ive heard from him since week 2.

Tony Kornheiser drinking game. Must take a drink anytime he references any parts of the Patriots. I would say the over/under is 75. It's been a few minutes and he's said it only once...he might be going through withdrawals.

LAUNCH

I ask this in all seriousness:Does anyone know of a single person who enjoys listening to Kornheiser in the MNF booth?I don't know anyone who likes him at all.

a classic tennessee/jacksonville clock eater, convert 5-6 3rd downs drive here... aka a fantasy nightmare if you need broncos to score points.

They really need to use Henry or Brown more. White is far far too slow to the hole.

It's great Fisher wants to use White to get 3-4 yards a pop, but it comes to the point where so many yards are being left out there when White runs that you've got to have some sort of COP.

General question: Is it me or is it really dead here for MNF? (I'm usually only here once in a while for MNF, but from what I recall there's usually much more traffic here).

I know this isn't the most exciting matchup in the world, but still.

Just so you know - the Mile High magic is slowly fading away. Broncos are 3-7 in their last 10 at home. The new stadium is no where as intimidating as the old one - it's a wine and cheese party.

Wonder why Cutler had time? Run it back and you'll see that the Denver RT bearhugged the Titans LDE and prevented him from rushing. He spun right to Cutler but was bearhugged from behind.

I'm coming out and saying it right now: I was wrong. I was really, really, really wrong. Probably the most wrong I've been in a long, long time. Before the season, I thought that Stokley was going to be a no-impact player. I thought he was old, slow, injury prone, and only had one good season as a result of the best QB season the league had ever seen to that point.

Once again, I was wrong.

Stokley has been unbefreakinglievable so far this year for Denver. Only Brady/Romo/Roeth convert third down at a higher rate than Cutler, and no one has a higher comp% on 3rd down than Cutler... and that's almost entirely a result of Stokley. This guy is a machine. All he does is find holes and convert big first downs, usually of long yardage.

Peyton Manning said that Stokley was the best slot receiver in the NFL. I always thought that he was a guy who was in the slot because he wasn't good enough to crack the starting lineup, but after seeing him so far this year, I am completely changing my tune. Stokley is possibly the most underrated WR in the league. He is an absolute machine.

Den looks way better than Tenn right now after 3 drives.

OK, 3 drives and a ST play.

Denver's defense has been dramatically different since they changed their scheme during the bye. The LBs are handling their responsibilities a lot better, and are actually winding up in the frame as the play is being made, which is a night-and-day change from the weeks before the bye.

OK who are the imposters in the Bronco uniforms? A special teams touchdown?

Come on Broncos - lets have some more of this!

Jesus, when was the last time Denver had a punt return for a TD?

I'm thinking Darien Gordon days......at least.

Great to see a big return from Denver. Their special teams have been brutal in years past. Their kick return unit is still cover-your-eyes awful, but the rest of their units are quietly performing better than they have in years. Scott O'Brien really knows his stuff.

Rod Smith had one a couple years back on his first return since his earliest years with the team. Denver lost a bunch of their returners to injury or general suckitude, so they put Smith in back there. The announcers were talking about what the possible upside could be to risking an aging and slowing player who is vital to the offense on punt returns, and then Smith took it back for a score.Deltha O'Neil also had a punt return TD in the New England "intentional safety game".

I about fell out of my chair on that one--a punt return for a TD..... :excited:  Just when I get use to the fact the Broncos might be settling for a rebuilding year, they come out looking good in all areas.

Blech, Kornheiser is talking about Denver's "players-only meeting". This has to be the single most overrated cliche explanation for why a team improves in the history of football.

Ah yes, I vaguely remember the Rod Smith one.I've erased Deltha O'Neal from my memory though, please don't mention him again.

The Broncos have looked pretty good at times this year- against the Steelers, for example. The way the Chargers are playing, why shouldn't the Broncos win their division and host a playoff game?

A question for the crowd here - Lendale White is playing in Denver, where he grew up(my daughter went to high school with him) for the first time in front of lots and lots of relatives. How do you think this affects a player? Good and showing off - or pressing/bad trying to impress?

I am truly astonished... I watched a bit of the pre-game tonight, and I saw on a couple occasions praise for LenDale White. I don't get it. I think I've seen 1 good run from him since he's been in the league. The guy is horrible. Normally, I'd think I am missing something, but he is so obviously bad that I am thoroughly confused.

Can anyone make sense of this?

It beats the days of Vance Johnson - we would call him Miss America.

Ahhhh, Brady's only win vs Denver. It took a Broncos offense led by Danny Kanell and a last second touchdown for that to happen. Brady is 1-5 vs Denver.
