Jeff Garcia walked to the locker room with a back injury on the Bucs opening drive, replaced by Bruce Gradkowski. He did not return in the first half, but is probable to return.
Garcia was hit hard on two early plays, one on a run, and appeared to take himself out. After the trainers checked out a wincing Garcia on the sideline, he headed to the locker room, but later returned to the sideline and is reported to have told teammates he would return today.
