LJ,Does he come back this year or not? (1 Viewer)

relax....

1. it was one game

2. it was the raiders

3. we havent heard anything about LJ in a few days, maybe the calm means he's going to miss the year or maybe it doesnt but I dont think Kolby Smith has anything to do with it one way or another

Except that rumor has it that LJ threw himself a 28th B-Day bash last night and the rumor is that he was saying he was done this year. Heard it on Fox radio in St. Louis this morning...

I don't think Kolby Smith's performance against a terrible Raiders run D will make any difference in the issue either way. Staying in playoff contention might be a small factor, but it still really comes down to what the mysterious foot injury really is.

If it's the rumored Lis Franc that requires rest but not surgery, I think he's done. However, there have been too many twists and turns to the story for me to drop him yet. If the Chiefs know he's done, you'd think they'd want to send him to IR to free up a roster spot. However, they may have been holding off on IR to see if the Raiders would drop a RB to activate Bush.

Fanball had this to say

"Johnson could be back next week, but Smith is definitely worth owning now regardless. This performance was against the Raiders, but Smith's showing is impressive nonetheless."

not sure where they are getting info that he could be back next week. . .but I kinda hope that he either is or isnt

I think we don't know because LJ has not wanted information released. Bottom line is anything else is speculation because of this. Anything else is speculation at this point.
