Browser script to show defensive matchups (1 Viewer)

I think this post loosely qualifies as "fantasy football strategy discussion" (as noted in the instructions for posts in this forum), so here goes. Hope this script is helpful to any Yahoo league members (I know, Yahoo is highly inferior to other sites).

Here's a Greasemonkey script to show the strengths of opposing defenses for players on my Yahoo roster. This script only applies to those running Firefox with the Greasemonkey add-on. (I was a devoted IE user until I discovered Greasemonkey.)

This script 'colors' opposing defenses according to their defensive rushing/passing rankings. Passing D rankings are shown for QB/WR/TEs, and rushing D rankings are shown for RBs. Of course, you should always use other tools like the cheatsheets and matchup data from the most excellent FBG analysis, but this is just another tool some might want to take advantage of. I always found myself flipping back and forth between the team D stats page, so this saves me quite a few clicks.

There are some screenshots of examples here:

Cheers. Hope someone finds this useful.

Can we have one for IE?

I used a script for Yahoo Baseball last year for batter vs. pitcher stats and it was very helpful.

i have no idea how to add these scripts to Firefox I dont have an option under Tools to add the user script. Anyone know?

scripts can get ugly. Great tool though. I'm a bit weary of installing it though.
haha....temptation wore you down pretty quick.did you get it all figured out?not that I don't trust the op, but if you're going to mess around w/scripts, I'd advise reading through that warning thread so you at least have an idea of how to protect yourself from some of the hazards.of course, this is my first greasemonkey script, so for all I know this dude's eating all my cookies even as we speak.

Glenn Carr is awesome... He has written some great scripts for Yahoo fantasy baseball as well...

You install the Greasemonkey add-on and then when you find a script at userscripts.org, you select "Install This Script" and that is all...

the matchups script is really good. The Add-on is easy to use and you can easily remove scripts with one click of a button.

Indeed. I don't use Yahoo for football purposes, but I'm sure the scripts are great as I know I loaded up on the baseball ones last year and it was a HUGE advantage to see everything so easily at one place. Fantastic stuff!
