Forcasters around here(ne) are saying this may be a significant storm.

I know it`s early...just something to keep an eye on this week.

Please be true..... :football: oh FFL Gods.....cast your weather fury at the Patriots.
I'm with you! HOWEVER, The Pats seemed to move the ball when they really needed to against the Ravens in a driving rain. I suspect they will do the same and then some this weekend.

Nothing better than a game played in a blizzard... especially your favorite team against a rival division team (Jets hatred extends back to the Parcells/Curtis Martin days).

I have Brady, Westy, Plax and Graham as my top players my Opponent has Manning, Wayne, and AD Welker

Man I hope the snow doesnt effect Brady throwing for 4 td's

No I have Brady he has Manning, even though he has Welker I still need Brady to get me 4 this week if Im going to have a chance this weekend.

I have to go against NE def and that's the only matchup my opponent has that scares me, we get pts for turnovers, yds allowed, pts... A storm would prob be even worse for me.. NE's talent can overcome conditions more than the Jets...

pretty sure that on tuesday no one has any idea of the weather on sunday
Where have you been? Don't you know that Al Gore can tell us what the weather will be in 100 years? Five days is nothing!

Hate to say it....as I'm a Moss owner in two leagues but I'm a big skiier and subscribe to www.bestskiweather.com .They are rarlely wrong when it comes to snow. They are calling for 1-2 feet between Saturday and Sunday in parts of New England and close to or just outside Boston. Good for skiing....bad for my fantasy team.

And it's supposed to be windy too.

I'd love to see horrible weather. Then we could see the NE ground game. Lots of question marks over exactly how good it really is. This would be a good way to find out.

Jet fan? or going against Brady?
Going against Moss. I have beat him twice so far this year by shutting Moss down with stellar defensive efforts. 3 times is virtually impossible without extra help.C'mon WIND!!!!!! or just throw it to welker and everyone else.

Going against Moss in one league, Brady in another and have Moss in the second league. I'd sacrifice Moss's production for Brady's in a second.

My understanding is that its going to start snowing (possibly a noreastern) sunday afternoon, into Monday.

I'm playing Brady in the playoffs in both of my leagues.

I always assumed I was one of those guys who wanted to win the right way, and didn't want to take the easy road. You know, "may the best man win", that sort of thing. I've always thought that was a sign of character, and I thought I had that.

Apparently not, though. Come on blizzard!

I learned something about myself today.

I just picked up a backup kicker in my league because I don't want to go with Gostowski in that weather.

Just something to think about for those with kickers in the game.

Read their report again, not one mention of Monday.....Saturday and Sunday is what they are saying. They can be wrong, but they rarely are FWIW.

Grrrrr. I would have to start Elam on Thurs if not Gostkowski as I'm out of waiver points. Going against Brady. Think it's a little too early to be going w/ Plan B when Plan A is still 5 days away.

I am actually basing my understanding off of the local weather here in PA and the weather channel.

Nor'easter

The northeastern United States, from New Jersey to the New England coast, Quebec and Atlantic Canada see nor'easters each year, most often in the winter and early spring, but also sometimes during the autumn. These storms can leave inches of rain or several feet of snow on the region and sometimes last for several days.

Nor'easters can be devastating and damaging, especially in the winter months, when most damage and deaths are cold related, as Nor'easters are known for bringing extremely cold air down from the Arctic air mass.

They are known for dumping heavy amounts of rain and snow, producing hurricane-force winds, and creating high surfs that cause severe beach erosion and coastal flooding.

Here's the Foxboro 7 day from weather.com:

Today - Showers

Wed - AM light rain

Thurs - Mostly cloudy

Fri - AM clouds/PM sun

Sat mostly cloudy

Sun - wintry mix/wind

Mon - partly cloudy/wind

I see. This site I'm referencing makes their money on forecasting where the snow will be and they are very good at it. I'm heading to Stratton, ski resort in Vermont this weekend, and just told my manager to not be surprised if I'm out on Monday because I'll be snowed in.You guys can check out the front page, you don't need to be a subscriber to see the headlines of the stories:

Honesty is refreshing. I'd like to win "the right way" but the way the Pats undoubtedly plan to run up the score, I feel justified in my indignance :coffee:

With regard to the weather, and because I live in PA and am a snow lover (Time to gas the sleds up!)

I listen to Elliot Abrams in the Accuweather.com Community Blogs. He's lived in the northeast his whole life and his forcasts are very good and insightful (in other words, he explains it in a way that us dumb central PA hicks can understand).

He said last week sometime that late this coming weekend we could see something significant, I listened to his streaming video this morning and he said the picture is getting clearer but the exact track of the storm is very much in doubt at this point. He said it will be a big one, but where the precip falls and what type it will be very much depends on the track of the storm. If it's tracking farther west, like the Ohio valley and Pittsburg it'll likely be all rain along the coast all the way up into NE. Farther east, and Central Pa, NY, and NE will get slammed....(and I'll be in heaven).

All this to say that I'm a Jets fan, and I don't believe it matters what the weather does. Brady will get his even if it means dinking and dunking the entire game. And there will be ZERO mercy in this game. Hopefully I'll be out playing in the white stuff trying to forget the Jets are playing Belicheck this week.

Not a Jets fan but......... J - E - T - S , Jets, Jets, Jets!! Hey, isn't that Brady's son's name too. Go Brady's son!!

J-E-T-M, Jetm, Jetm, Jetm! just doesn't have the same ring to it.

Just saw my local news here in Boston and to go along with what was said, they are all saying a big storm is brewing for all day Sunday. No mention of totals, but he said possibly up to a foot in some areas. It was said to expect snow to start falling Sunday morning and to go all day.
