Lets Tier: (1 Viewer)

As the baseball season approaches, I have begun to tier my players and think it would be a great thread if we could come up with a consensus. We are never going to get everyone to agree on every player but this could turn out to be a nice cheat sheet as we all get ready for our drafts. We will do one at every position. I will monitor it and add/drop as people see fit.

This one seems pretty easy to me. Vmart and everyone else but we need a thread for it

Tier 2: Martin, Mauer, McCann, Posada

Everyone else

Sure about that?V Marts78 25 114 0 .301Martins87 19 87 21 .293Lets see, Martinez did have a better batting average(+.008), hit more HR's(+6), and did drive in more runs(+27)............the Runs are hugeBut Martin out produced Martinez in Run's scored(+9) and SB's(+21).........and SB's are huge.I'll agree with you that Martinez could be the #1 catcher taken this year...........but unquestioned? I don't think so.

Check out the ZIPS projection for the Cubs catcher Geovany Soto....290 20 homers...could be a sleeper...

I love Soto, but I play in a keeper league, and do not own him...........he will be kept for the minimum this year.He looked very impressive last year.
