Oh, and he dominated playing DT at the Army All-American bowlNo other opinions? I bet the popular choice would be Terrelle Pryor, but I think he'll turn out to be an overhyped prima donna. Yep. And with it being the off-season and all, I wanted to give people something to talk about. It looks like people are excited who thier favorite college signed yesterday.
I'll keep an eye on him in the future. Playing for Miami?Marcus Forston | DT Hometown: Miami, FLMiami Northwestern High School Position rank: # 1Ht: 6'2" Wt: 286 Forston will be a highly-recruited defensive tackle because he can be explosive. He has good size and looks on film to be a thick kid. He has a good get-off and is regularly one of the first people moving on the snap of the ball. An impressive aspect of his ability is how he can explode out of his stance, shoot his hands generate power from his lower body and knock a blocker back. He does a good job of playing with his hands...
Can you say.....{B U S T!}my money is on Syrus Powers
Yep..not sure if he is #1 pick worthy but hey OL and DL are good guesses.I'll keep an eye on him in the future. If he stays four he won't be the first overall. Sig bet if you want.Terrelle Pryor... if he was actually going to stay in school all 4 years.
That's fair, but I'm also basing this on the fact that I think Steinkuhler will stay his Senior season because he wants to be at Nebraska, not because he couldn't come out as a Junior. So in my mind he goes before any JuniorI say its someone who will be heading into their senior season of high school in september. Im guessing a junior will be picked #1 overall in 2012.![]()
or maybe he's the next mandarich.....hard to tell 4 years from nowmcintyre1 said:That's fair, but I'm also basing this on the fact that I think Steinkuhler will stay his Senior season because he wants to be at Nebraska, not because he couldn't come out as a Junior. What is with all of the rumors of dirty recruiting by CU?rascal said:Mr. Scott of CU.
Baker Steinkuhler, LT, Nebraska.Calling it now.
not sure i agree with the prima donna part of this statement. he may turn out to be overhyped, but he seems like a good kid. you don't get to be someone's no. 1 football prospect two years after being someone's no. 1 basketball playing sophomore by being a prima donna. No other opinions? I bet the popular choice would be Terrelle Pryor, but I think he'll turn out to be an overhyped prima donna. Give me a humble, hard working, prototypical lineman anyday.
I think you're missing the point here...Simply way too far from now to even throw out a shot. So many variables it is not even funny. It is like being outside of an inclosed gym and thinking you can throw the basketball throw the hoop.
That was exactly my first thought, actually. Is it just me or is Pryor V. Young part II?
It's something that is always tossed around by fans of traditional powers, or never will be powers...directed at teams who have a charismatic coach that can pull elite talent. See Illinois and Zook, Brewster and Minnesota, among many others...although saying these guys are "clean" is probably a stretch, dirty recruiting is something that "probably" happens at every school with a pulseWhat is with all of the rumors of dirty recruiting by CU?Mr. Scott of CU.
I would normally agree but the quote by the recruiting coordinator at his HS was pretty odd. I am to lazy to dig it up.It's something that is always tossed around by fans of traditional powers, or never will be powers...directed at teams who have a charismatic coach that can pull elite talent. I want to know how the kid was on your radar? Wasn't he a three star recruit? Thanks. Got very Luck-y with the prediction. Nothing more.
