i went Housh too. Detroit has said they are going to be more run oriented and they have alot of WR to keep happy with not near as many throws this year.

Went with Roy Wiliiams. Just to talented
I know Roy Williams is a talent. But I just don't get how someone would rather have him than just about anybody else on this list. He's been in the league 4 years now. He's only stayed healthy one of them. Its been questioned whether his heart is in it or not. Say what you want about him being a Lion, but that's where he's at, and he may never leave there. In four seasons, he has yet to score more than 8 TDs in ANY season. Three of the four seasons he's had less than 64 catches and 837 yards. Will he get it together and live up to his talent? Maybe. But I would rather have a guy like Jennings or Housh who are both productive right now, and not have to hope that Roys' talent eventually wins out. Incidently, Roys' "breakout season" two years ago was 1310 yards and 7 TDs. Good for 173 fantasy points in typical leagues. Houshmandzadeh has averaged 174 fantasy points the last two years, and while Housh may not quite match his 2007 numbers in 2008, he's a good bet to keep to stay within that average number.

couldn't agree more. Talent only gets you so far. He just hasn't put up the numbers to match the potential. CJ2's growth will only make it worse IMO. One would think the passing offense would take a step back with Matrz leaving. we can say what we want about Martz, but his offenses are very reciever friendly. So installing a new offense will have to hurt a little.

I went with TJH. His production over the past few seasons warrants this ranking, IMO. The only detractor from his continued production is the looming CJ fiasco. A good part of Housh's produciton is having CJ lining up across from him and there is some possible uncertainty there. He's not yet 30 which puts him in front of TO and he's got a top notch QB throwing him the ball.

Give me the only guy on that list with WR1 talent and a top-5 QB throwing to him for the next 10+ years... Santonio.

Santonio is definitely the pick of the litter. 2008 = breakout

TJH is the next best bet, and arguably the best bet based simply upon production.

Roy Williams is overrated IMHO. 1 good season out of 4, especially in the pass-happy Detroit, simply doesn't spell success to me, especially since he's been injured 3 of those 4 seasons.

Is that a new scheme for Pittsburg, keeping and paying their long time stars with long-term deals?
Bettis lasted 10 years in Pittsburgh. How many teams has Hines Ward played for?Steelers will keep both Holmes and Ben as long as they produce and are worth the $. I suspect they will play most of their career, if not all of it, in Pittsburgh. Although if I had to bet, I would only put $ on Ben.

Complete joke that Roy Williams is rated over guys like TO or Housh IMO. I don't care if it's a dynasty, I'd take two years of TO over 5 years of Roy Williams.
