NFL, not fantasy.

Assume that you can go back in time and draft either receiver. You don't have to bench Owens if you don't want to, but you have to deal with him questioning his quarterback if he throws up in the Superbowl. You don't have to trade Chad Johnson if you don't want to, but you have to deal with him asking for a trade.

Owens has always been the better WR, but for awhile, the threat of him being suspended by whatever team he plays for outweighed his ability. I expect this to happen again soon, because he's due. I wonder what the results of this poll would be during one of these Terrell moments?

Chad Johnson is a wonderful talent, but TO is pretty much the 2nd best WR of the last decade, possibly the 1st. It's not even close IMO.

The only reason Owens had any threat of being suspended was because Andy Reid chose to drive the Eagles into the ground.

They're basically the same guy off the field. They're both going to do filthy things to you and then tell you about it. The only difference is CJ tries to sugar coat it.

Might as well have the one with more talent. T.O.

When Chad exits his prime, I'll let you know. Owens is more than 4 years older than him. Owens owns him on per game production, but he still holds the title of tearing apart teams. CJ is making a move in that area, but Terrell is still the king of that by a long shot.

TO has the ability to make corners look very bad after he catches the ball. He pushes them off like bugs, I can't remember seeing one corner (the cover corner) tackle him, by himself, after the catch.

not to nitpick, but I'm going to say 3rd. Randy Moss

Marvin Harrison

TO

Granted, Marvin is less physical than TO, but nobody runs better routes and helps their QB more.

Oh, and TO > 85, and it's not close.

Even when TO is #####ing off the field... I'm pretty sure he gives his all on the field. Chad Johnson... not so much.

You could make a great argument for Harrison. Still, I like TO by a decent clip over him. As much as Harrison helped Manning, I'd say Manning helped him more. No wrong or right here, just a matter of taste.

TO: 5 seasons of 1200+ yards. 6 seasons of double-digit TDs [12 seasons total]

CJ: 5 seasons of 1200+ yards. 1 season of double-digit TDs [7 seasons total]

Average season:

TO - 1,089 yds, 10.8 TDs, 173 fantasy pts

CJ - 1,195 yds, 7.0 TDs, 161 fantasy pts

Average per game:

TO - 76 yds, 0.75 TDs, 12.0 fantasy pts

CJ - 77 yds, 0.45 TDs, 10.5 fantasy pts

TO is more explosive, and higher productivity on a per game basis. Other than his rookie year, CJ has played in 16 games every season. Neither is a bad choice. I'd rather have had TO, but tough to go wrong either way.

Much rather have T.O. because he's a good blocker in the run game, probably the best runner after the catch in the game, and can still get deep. He drops the occasional pass, but he's a more complete player. Johnson is the better pure pass catcher, but he's not as complete a player.

possibly. Marvin started off his career pretty strong without Peyton, then took off with him. The one thing going for Marvin over the others is after his first couple years, he never had to deal with a subpar QB.
