Rice? C.Johnson? F.Jones? Or anyone else? Or is it a wait and see were everyone goes in the draft?
Correct, but it could be a factor in where he lands in the NFL Draft. As for Stewart's toe surgery, as I said in one of my league's message boards, it's a non-factor for me. A dynasty league is a marathon, and I'm not going to let the first 100 yards affect my decision.

Your sig is out of control.RB's- I left the Fat kid off my rankings.1. Darren McFadden2. Felix Jones3. Rashard Mendenhall4. Ray Rice5. Chris Johnson6. Kevin Smith
If you mean that he could fall into a better situation and move up the FF draft board then I am in complete agreement. "Could" being the operative word here.Correct, but it could be a factor in where he lands in the NFL Draft. As for Stewart's toe surgery, as I said in one of my league's message boards, it's a non-factor for me. I watched every Colts game (homer that I am), and yes, Keith sucks. You will find out on draft day how the Colts feel about Keith. With your ypc example, they are different types of samples. Also, Keith CANNOT pass protect, and he failed as a receiver out of the backfield.Keith 4.4 avgAddai 4.1 avgSo does addai suck ying yang too?I saw a mock draft somewhere that has the Colts taking Johnson in the 2nd rdCorrect, but it could be a factor in where he lands in the NFL Draft. As for Stewart's toe surgery, as I said in one of my league's message boards, it's a non-factor for me. The Colts have these guys named Dungy and Polian -- you might have heard of them -- and it's funny, but they apparently look a little deeper than one single little statistic when making their decisions. Those crazy guys don't think Keith is better than Addai. I wonder what's wrong with them? Anyway, maybe there's a bit more to player evaluation than quoting a statistic. They have said they will be looking to upgrade the backup RB position, so maybe you can either accept that or email Polian your 4.4 vs 4.1 and he can let you draft for him.Chachi said:Keith 4.4 avgAddai 4.1 avgSo does addai suck ying yang too?JohnnyU said:I saw a mock draft somewhere that has the Colts taking Johnson in the 2nd rdJPeso said:Correct, but it could be a factor in where he lands in the NFL Draft.Couch Potato said:As for Stewart's toe surgery, as I said in one of my league's message boards, it's a non-factor for me. Any RB with two working legs could average 4 ypc in the Colts system...Chachi said:Keith 4.4 avgAddai 4.1 avgSo does addai suck ying yang too?JohnnyU said:I saw a mock draft somewhere that has the Colts taking Johnson in the 2nd rdJPeso said:Correct, but it could be a factor in where he lands in the NFL Draft.Couch Potato said:As for Stewart's toe surgery, as I said in one of my league's message boards, it's a non-factor for me. While your sarcasm is appreciated, i was trying to make a point and you guys made it for me. A simple stat like YPC does not make a RB a great player. You'd be shocked at how many D. Willy owners think that YPC= everything and nothing else matters. Not sure about draft day, but Kenton Keith was an embarrassment trying to catch the ball. He dropped some very crucial 3rd down passes in key situations last year. I think this is accurate in that Keith won't be the #2 RB or 3rd down option next year.JohnnyU said:I watched every Colts game (homer that I am), and yes, Keith sucks. Agree it's a marathon. You think over the course of 5 years, Stewart will be one of the top 3 at that point? When Dixon went down Stewart did not step up. So you like the top 3 and believe they will be the best 3 in five years from now? To be honest I think Mendenhall may also not be in the top 3 in 5 years as well. One very good year. Vision is poor, but yes He has that NFL Body.Couch Potato said:Unless one of these guys does something stupid that makes the news in the next month, all is known that will be known prior to the draft. Now it's just waiting to see where they end up, so until then we're flying in a holding pattern. It's there because, I stand by my rankings, if you noticy Everyone after the Combine has changed there's. Everyone that is but Me.Rodeojones said:Maroney=Speed said:Rice? C.Johnson? F.Jones? i'm possibly looking to draft Chris Long with the 1.01 if I can't trade out of it.DE's in my league are very tough to get.
that's a gross exaggeration. you should try to actually look at his numbers...Agree it's a marathon. You think over the course of 5 years, Stewart will be one of the top 3 at that point? What if Chris Johnson gets a Ginn bump in the draft for his sick return skills and goes 3rd? It's possible if one of them start slipping.Dennis Dixon didn't make Jonathan Stewart. Dennis Dixon wasn't even a good QB until last season. As for the original question, I'd consider Ray Rice or Chris Johnson in the top 3 depending on how the draft shakes out. It's going to be difficult to pass on McFadden/Stewart/Mendenhall though. It's sort of like a Gore vs. Benson/Caddy/Ronnie redux. One of the less heralded runners might emerge as the best RB from the class, but do you really have the stones to take him over the first round guys? And is that really a smart move from an odds perspective?
It's not completely out of the question. He brings a speed dimension that Mendenhall and Stewart don't offer, so there are probably some teams in the league who like him more than those guys. Consider a team like Dallas. Stewart and Mendenhall wouldn't play much for them, but Johnson could be a real contributor since he can do a lot of things Barber can't. It would make sense for a team like that to have Johnson higher on their board. If one of the top three falls a bit (Stewart maybe?) then I could see Johnson being selected ahead of him. Individual teams have their own individual taste. I didn't anticipate Cedric Benson going ahead of Cadillac Williams or Chris Perry going ahead of Kevin Jones. A lot of people were surprised by Laurence Maroney going before DeAngelo Williams (I saw that one coming). There are always a few curveballs on draft day. I suspect Johnson's stock is higher than most pundits realize. Whether he's a top 25 or a top 50 pick remains to be seen though. I can see him going anywhere in that range. What if Chris Johnson gets a Ginn bump in the draft for his sick return skills and goes 3rd?
