WAS JUST ON SPORTS CENTER CAMP CONFIDENTIAL..THEY WERE TALKING WITH A CAROLINA BEAT WRITER I THINK! THE GUY SAID HE HAS ALREADY BEEN SUSPENDED ONE GAME FOR THIS CONDUCT BEFORE AND THIS TIME IT MIGHT BE MORE. HE MORE OR LESS SAID HE THOUGHT THERE WOULD 100% BE SOME TYPE OF TEAM SUSPENSION. SMITH HAS BEEN KNOWN FOR THIS TYPE THING AND THE TEAM JUST CANT HAVE IT ANYMORE!

ONE MUST THINK THAT THE TEAM MUST PROTECT ITSELF, WHAT IF HE REALLY HURTS SOMEONE BADLY AND HE CANT PLAY ANYMORE? THE SUIT WOULD BE AGAINST SMITH AND THE TEAM OR NFL AND THE TEAM AND NFL NEEDS TO SAY THEY AT LEAST TRIED TO STOP HIM FROM DOING THESE THINGS IN THE PAST BY SUSPENDING HIM ETC...IT LOOKS LIKE SMITH WILL MISS A GAME OR TWO NOW TO ME ALSO.

I must also say i own Smith on at least five cash league teams so far so i am disgusted right now!

OK. THANKS FOR THE HEADSUP AND THE NEW THREAD. BECAUSE I WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN ABLE TO FIND THIS INFO IN THE OTHER THREAD ABOUT THE EXACT SAME THING.

You could have just posted this in the Steve Smith / Ken Lucas thread. Everything is just speculation right now, but I doubt Smith would be suspended more than one game. Ken Lucas isn't in the clear either for provoking him.

I think Fox will suspend him for a game, but maybe two. I could be wrong though depending on how much Lucas had to do with taunting him, but even so, that is no excuse to lose control and hurt someone. Fox and Richardson both do not tolerate misconduct of any sort. As a Panther fan, and a Steve Smith fan, I'm not happy about it, but I am glad the Panthers have Moose and Hackett to hold down the fort in the event Smith has a short leave of absence.

IMHO, the title (and a separate post) is totally appropriate for fresh news like this. I'm not intently watching page three of the other thread for developments. Thanks for the heads-up. BTW, your caps lock is on....

Stop apoligizing...I worked all day and didn't have access, just got home, rolled into this thread after seeing the story over at redzone, was struck by the thread title as I didn't think he would be suspended...now I think he definitely will.
