Anyone watching, appreciate any info/opinions on how players look, thx (ie we all can bring up game center for stats, so no need/point in repeating them)

Schaub with an impressive drive, very nice pass and catch to Walter for TD.

Mario Williams looks good....again.

Saints look a little sluggish on offense right now....lol...as soon as i type that a 30+ yarder to Patten. nice throw

Reggie is awful........just awful. I've been willing to give him the benefit of the doubt because the Saints line is pretty terrible at run blocking. But now he can't catch the ball either.

I am thinking Schaub might be his year's DA. Been thinking it for a while, but this is just cementing it for me.

there you go Reggie.

gives the Texans CB a right cross on the stiff arm. he's bouncing everything outside

I wasn't talking fantasy. I was simply commenting on the thought that the Saints would go 5 - 11.
Pretty hard to win games when you can't stop the other team from scoring touchdowns on every single possession.:confused:Fantasy-wise they should be extremely productive. But they're going to give up more points than they can score.

The Texans passing offense will be very good this year. Yes, Jason David blah blah blah, but Schaub is throwing accurately and is poised in the pocket. The running game is still non-existent. And oh yeah, his #1 weapon isn't playing.

Nice one-handed circus catch by Colston for a TD.
This guy is an absolute beast. He's a joy to watch.
And Jacoby Jones is an absolute disappointment. He's locked himself in Kubiak's outhouse and might stay there until they cut him later in the preseason.
What a difference a year makes. Last preseason the guy was electric. Just another example of NFL = Not For Long.

The Saints have arguably the worst CBs in the league and I still can't believe they haven't used a first rounder to get one.
McKenzie is pretty good if he can get on the field. But yes, the other guys are terrible. Jason David is inconceivably bad. You could literally put a 3-year-old on the field and fare just as well.

Slaton looked the best by far. He has the best speed and he showed good extra effort and a willingness to stick his head out and fight for extra yardage. Granted, he ran against the second and third-teamers, but he just looks better, faster, and stronger than anyone else.

Taylor looked meh. He had a couple of good runs at tailback, but he's not living up to his hype. He left the game with a cramp.

I'd stay away from Taylor, Walker, Brown, or Green in your draft unless you're getting them late. I think Slaton will be the main guy at some point in the season.

That's kinda what I'm thinking as well. Always been a fan a Green but I just don't think he'll be able to complete a season. He's about done.

I'm still verrry bitter they traded two first round picks to move up and get Jonathan Sullivan when Marcus Trufant was the clear target in that draft. Maybe Young or Porter will work out. Blah.

Kubiak in the post-game on Slaton: "First off, I can feel the speed on the field. When he’s out there, you can feel his speed and the chance to make big plays and the kick off return. He’s growing in what we are doing run-game wise. He makes some bad cuts, but then he makes some great cuts. It’s obvious that this kid’s going to be a big part of it, if he keeps heading the way he’s heading. I wanted to see him a bunch tonight. I am sorry I didn’t get Darius (Walker) in there. I’ll get him caught up, but I think Slaton is making a lot of progress.”

Good outing for Brees and Shaub. Neither teem could pressure the QB though. The running game for the Texans still needs to improve or they wont make the playoffs. They must gett pressure on the QB because they are so thin at CB. Both teems have a lot to work on. I am targeting Drew as my QB this year so it was nice to see the defence couldnt stop the Texans from scoring. I hope they are playing from behind all year LOL. Not that I have anything against the saints but if its not the Texans I am all about fantasy. LT and AP can break a leg this year for all care I am picking 8th.

Thanks for the info. While I don't really have a clue about what will happen with the RBs, I do think that Slaton and Walker are the two best. Green is toast, and I don't trust Chris Brown to stay on the field, either. Slaton is now appearing in redraft league drafts, but Walker would be a huge sleeper if he ends up with the starting job. I could see Walker and Slaton splitting duties as well. I was wondering why Walker didn't get into the game, but it's preseason and I guess the coaches are just trying to get a look at everyone.

I'd like to see how both Slaton and Walker do with the fist string. My impression has been that the 2nd and 3rd string O-lines have done a better job opening holes than has the 1st string. I thought many of the better runs by Slaton and Walker these first two games came with bigger holes than Brown or Taylor had to work with. Though I thought the 1st string unit did a better job this week than against Denver.

Slaton did look good yesterday even apart from that though.
