David notSchaub looking very sharp
Huh?The Saints are bad.......very bad.5-11. MAYBE.
No run game + no defense = one very crappy team.5-11 is optimistic at this point.Huh?The Saints are bad.......very bad.5-11. MAYBE.
"This point" is week 2 of the pre-season..No run game + no defense = one very crappy team.5-11 is optimistic at this point.Huh?The Saints are bad.......very bad.5-11. MAYBE.

On the contrary I wouldn't draft any Saints even in the last round and I think we shouldNice smoke screen.
Whoever plays the Saints might be that week's Tom Brady. DBs look absolutely lost.I am thinking Schaub might be his year's DA. Been thinking it for a while, but this is just cementing it for me.

Pretty hard to win games when you can't stop the other team from scoring touchdowns on every single possession.I wasn't talking fantasy. I was simply commenting on the thought that the Saints would go 5 - 11.
This guy is an absolute beast. He's a joy to watch.Nice one-handed circus catch by Colston for a TD.
And Jacoby Jones is an absolute disappointment. He's locked himself in Kubiak's outhouse and might stay there until they cut him later in the preseason. This guy is an absolute beast. He's a joy to watch.Nice one-handed circus catch by Colston for a TD.
What a difference a year makes. Last preseason the guy was electric. Just another example of NFL = Not For Long.Lobary said:And Jacoby Jones is an absolute disappointment. McKenzie is pretty good if he can get on the field. But yes, the other guys are terrible. Jason David is inconceivably bad. You could literally put a 3-year-old on the field and fare just as well.Anthony Borbely said:The Saints have arguably the worst CBs in the league and I still can't believe they haven't used a first rounder to get one.
That's kinda what I'm thinking as well. Always been a fan a Green but I just don't think he'll be able to complete a season. He's about done.Slaton looked the best by far. He has the best speed and he showed good extra effort and a willingness to stick his head out and fight for extra yardage. Granted, he ran against the second and third-teamers, but he just looks better, faster, and stronger than anyone else.Taylor looked meh. He had a couple of good runs, but he's not living up to his hype. He left the game with a cramp. I'd stay away from Taylor, Walker, Brown, or Green in your draft unless you're getting them late. I think Slaton will be the main guy at some point in the season.
Boy or girl? Depending on which, I would modify this to say just as well or betterYou could literally put a 3-year-old on the field and fare just as well.Anthony Borbely said:The Saints have arguably the worst CBs in the league and I still can't believe they haven't used a first rounder to get one.
Well, it's not terribly hard to improve on a 100% failure rate.Boy or girl? Depending on which, I would modify this to say just as well or better
I'm still verrry bitter they traded two first round picks to move up and get Jonathan Sullivan when Marcus Trufant was the clear target in that draft. Maybe Young or Porter will work out. Thanks for the info. While I don't really have a clue about what will happen with the RBs, I do think that Slaton and Walker are the two best. Green is toast, and I don't trust Chris Brown to stay on the field, either. Slaton is now appearing in redraft league drafts, but Walker would be a huge sleeper if he ends up with the starting job. I could see Walker and Slaton splitting duties as well. I was wondering why Walker didn't get into the game, but it's preseason and I guess the coaches are just trying to get a look at everyone.Kubiak in the post-game on Slaton: "First off, I can feel the speed on the field. When he’s out there, you can feel his speed and the chance to make big plays and the kick off return. He’s growing in what we are doing run-game wise. He makes some bad cuts, but then he makes some great cuts. It’s obvious that this kid’s going to be a big part of it, if he keeps heading the way he’s heading. I wanted to see him a bunch tonight. I am sorry I didn’t get Darius (Walker) in there. I’ll get him caught up, but I think Slaton is making a lot of progress.”
Ditto - this was an enjoyable read a day later.Thx all![]()
