Washington Redskin/Carolina Panthers game (1 Viewer)

Out for Washington:

LB Marcus Washington (hip)

S LaRon Landry (hamstring)

WR Malcolm Kelly (knee)

T Todd Wade (ankle)

LB Matt Sinclair (back)

TE Jason Goode (turf toe)

Starters are expected to play well into the second quarter. Redskins are think at LB for the game.

Joe Bugel did not accompany the team, but will meet them there and will coach; his daughter Holly died from cancer this week.

for those not watching, all 3 running backs (DeAngelo, Jonathon & Clinton) have looked very good. Passing game has looked decent for Carolina, pretty poor for Washington so far.

The Taylor injury didn't look good, but he did start to put some weight on it by himself on the sidelines.

DeAngelo breaks free, drops the ball.

Steve Smith picks it up and scores.

Unconventional, but whatever works.

Taylor walked off the field but he looked to be in pain and limping a bit.

Also to add, I am impressed with the Panthers D so far. They look tough

yep, spoke too soon, Jason Taylor off to the locker room on the cart, and he looked upset. Not good for Skins fans. :(

Either the Panthers has improved greatly or this is the worst Redskin performance I have seen in years. I am missing a national Steelers vs Vikings game for this piece of :(

I do think this is a case of the Skins D just not being very good.

Not to take anything away from Stew or Dwill, but there is a lot of daylight to run and poor tackling to boot

I think the Panthers are looking great. I do think the Skins D will be very different with Landry back there though. I doubt they would have broken those long runs with his speed in the secondary. But Panther fans should be VERY excited about how well the Panthers are playing on both sides of the ball tonight.

Rotoworld update on Taylor:

Jason Taylor left Saturday's game against the Panthers with a right knee sprain.Taylor was able to limp off the field, but he was later carted to the locker room. Washington Post beat writer Jason LaCanfora said the injury "certainly looked bad" and Taylor was "writhing in pain" on the field and the sidelines. Not a good night to be a pro bowl defensive end.

Note to fantasy owners: if you have the Redskins D this year you are screwed.

And I am starting to think the Delhomme would make a great backup QB

So Delhomme looks good?Anyone have any observations? I mean, other than, "Wow! That was crazy!"

I think he looks pretty damn impressive. Although when you are facing Fred Smoot and Reed Doughtery I think Tavaris Jackson would make a solid backup QB right now

Delhomme's arm looks fine. I missed his first INT, so I can't comment. Otherwise his timing still looks a bit off, but throws have been where they need to be for the most part.

OL looks better run blocking than pass blocking.

Jarrett getting a good amount of looks

Delhomme's arm looks fine. He did make one really bad decision forcing it to Steve Smith, and overthrowing him for a pick.

He's been a bit inaccurate, too. (9 for 17 at the half). The running game has been exceptional, Delhomme has been average. He did look better on that last drive before the half.

Everyone on the Carolina O=line, including the FB, is blocking in sync (unlike last year). Stewart looks good, but D-Will looks phenomonal.

The Stewart 50 yard TD should not have happened, it was just a combo of good blocking and luck. If the Skins had Marcus Washington I don't think Stewart would have broke that one off.

The 60 yarder by D-Will was just great vision, good blocking, and extreme effort. A lesser back would have been taken down as D-Will had to break a tackle.

Steve Smith is fired up like crazy

Delhomme is on the money. He is better than ever. He shows no hesitation at all when throwing. It seems the surgery is a thing of the past. He looks like he's still got a little bit of rust in respect to timing, but arm strength is great

The Carolina D is molesting Jason Campbell at this point.
