Week 1 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

If you are panicking already because of injury to one of your players or simply because your players are underperforming, please post here.

 
This year is getting off to a great start for me.

In my big money, keeper league both of my starting RB's (Grant and Lewis have hammy issues) and my starting QB Brady is now injured and who knows how much time he may miss.

 
Facing Parker, McNabb today. Down 80 points and we havent even finished the first set of games today :(

:) Damn my keeper rule change. I dropped FWP because we changed from all you can eat to 3 keepers so I dropped him at the end of the season since I knew I wouldn't keep him. I also didn't keep Turner, but thank god I still drafted him as my RB2. I know most of the reason the keeper rules were changed was because of me and one other team. Hate when things like that happen.Of course the guy I kept over him, which I would do every time, was Brady. Please don't let him be hurt too bad. Well at least Chris Johnson looks for real, so maybe he plugs the Brady hole at flex (Romo at QB).Been a real mixed bag today, some good to great, some awful.

My lineup: Schaub (sucked), S.Jackson (rams suck), Jones-Drew (shutdown), Holt (I think he died midgame), Ocho-Cinco (lol), Scobee (missed fg), Gates (so far ok) and Giants D (1 sack, 0 int, only bonus pts for shutouts)

 
I own TO and Witten, opponent has Barber. Witten to the half yard line earlier, Barber with the TD. TO to the half yard line (pretty sure on replay that he was in), Barber with the TD.

I will pay serious money for someone to run Scott Linehan over w/their car. Truck or SUV will do also.

MJD on that dive to the endzone, his knee touches and it's 3rd down at the 1/2 yard line. He'll get it next touch to seal the deal, right?

On the other hand, happy to NOT be a Brady owner today....

In my main league my WR's have been a complete :confused:

Colston, Edwards and Ginn (return yard league) are combined for 3pts

In my other league my highest scoring starter is D.Rosario (TE - Carolina) who I had never heard of until thursday.

Can't believe the lack of Brady posts.

First time I have ever drafted a QB in the first round (which messes up your entire draft by the way) in over 20 years.

Picking the Niners for the Suicide Pool has left me with very little to distract me this season. I guess I will just have to watch games like a normal person as my rooting interests have been squashed.

Try having Anderson as your QB. It's not like the DAL secondary was dazzling. 114 freaking yards??? I may pick up Quinn now.
 
Can u tell me how MJD touches the ball 9 times in that game? It's obvious that the running game was a no show for the Jags so why not more screens or dump offs to MJD. They need to get him involved a lot more if they expect to go anywhere.

 
im pissed barber didnt play 4th qtr...if he plays i win....if wille bleeping parker does act like he still can play i win..if vincent jackson doesnt score 13 pts(our scoring system) in the 4th qtr i win...now i have packers def againts bears def left...i need packers def to score once or twice...

 
Warner over McNabb and playing the highest scoring team this week.

Picking the dang Chargers in my suicide league. I thought they stole one for me until the last play. Killer.

Eek. On the 4 teams I have every major injury so far has hit me in at least one of those leagues. Bloody first week.

For one of my teams, I started Santonio Holmes, Chris Cooley and Braylon Edwards. Ended up with 2 points for the 3 of them.

 
My first three picks were:

Addai

Houshmandzadeh

Holt

They combined for the same amount of points in my league today as Tony Hunt.

That wasn't what I was hoping for when I drafted them.

 
Return yardage league:

MJD - no kick returns...9 touches, no TD's

Ginn - no kick returns...2 catches and 1 carry

Braylon - 2 catches

Dallas Clark - 1 catch

In this league it is pretty easy to break 10 pts. These four "studs" combined for about 20 pts. Add to it tha I had Reggie Bush on my bench who scored about 36 points and I'm a little miffed.

I don't mind one or even two guys tanking, but all four of these guys laying an egg on the same week really pisses me off. The guy I was playing had Torry Holt and started two IDP guys who got him zero each.....I should have blown him away, but now I need a miracle from Cutler, Kampman & Barnett.

How the hell doesn't Ted Ginn return any kicks for the Dolphins?!? He's a GD return specialist!!!!

 
In a 16-team IDP re-draft league... traded Michael Turner for David Harris on Wednesday... Harris scored 7.5 pts today!

Also started Hasselbeck, MJD, Folk...

How does San Diego's #1 WR get one catch!!! (granted for a TD, but still!)... and how do you own Chambers and Gates and score ZERO on a clutch TD pass with LT on sidelines!!! Vincent F#@%!#' Jackson; that's how!

How many red zone targets does Dwayne Bowe need :confused:

Well, at least I have another #1WR, who had a solid game... UNTIL HE GOT HURT!!! (Burleson)

OH! ...and I played the top scoring team in the league this week... (McNabb, Moss, Jacobs).
