Anyone playing Steve Slaton @Jac next week? (1 Viewer)

He was the only good thing on the offensive side against a very tough Titans Def. His schedule gets stupidly easy from week 5 to 8, but I was wondering if you guys will risk playing him week 4.

After Jags, he plays Indy, Miami, Detroit, and Cinci.

 
I'm considering playing him over Turner but I won't do it. If he has a good week, I'll look to deal Turner to improve my WR core and let him be my RB2. He's already had his bye week, and I HATE turner's playoff schedule weeks 14/15.

 
I'm pairing him with Turner. My normal RB1 is Westbrook and unless I hear he's going on Sunday Night really early, I'll be starting Slaton.

 
i am playing his now snce FWP is hurt. I was going to trade him off but with a strained knee on willie, I will keep him and play him

 
I am playing him more because I am weak at rb2 but lets not get too far ahead of ourselves here. He had one big game. I hope more is to come but we shall see. In a perfect world I would not start him this week and see how he does vs another tough defense then start him week 5 -8 vs easier matchups. I hope he does well

I'd definitely start him at RB2 if I had him. Jacksonville's D is good against the run but they've allowed opposing running backs to post respectable fantasy numbers. Slaton's won Kubiak's trust completely and is sure to see ample touches.<homer alert>While Slaton showed up in the box score more than any other Texans player, I don't agree that he was the only good thing on offense for the Texans. I wasn't able to watch the game live because of a family medical situation, but I dvr'd it and finally got around to watching it last night. Despite all the criticism I've read about their performance, and Matt Schaub in particular, the Texans were in the game the entire time. The offensive line held its own against the Titans d-line and gave Schaub ample time to throw on numerous occasions. The offense had good run-pass balance and kept the Titans guessing on defense until the last five minutes of the fourth quarter. AJ uncharacteristically dropped TD passes, and Kubiak made some really terrible coaching decisions with his playcalling in the red zone and his use of the red challenge flag. </homer alert>

:rolleyes:Exact same situation. But, after watching highlights of the game last week, I am on the Slaton train.He may be my permanent RB2 next to Addai from this point forward ahead of JLew. Both Addai and Slaton have passed their bye weeks and the league only starts 2 RBs, so I may be looking to Steve Slaton from this point forward. I thought he ran great at the goal line even though he didn't get in, He didn't get caught in the backfield, he pushed forward on every run, and fell just slightly short of the goal line twice against the #1 rushing D in the league.Plus, he is a dangerous receiver in the flat who is much more likely to be on the field late in games if the team is trailing than old man Green.

same exact thing for me. addai is out for me this week, and slaton is in. his performance has made it a pretty low stress decision to start him, but i don't have a lot of better options at the same time. on my roster, willie parker is hurt and i would rather start slaton over fred taylor.
 
Starting him in 2 leagues.

Main head to head league he is being paired with Turner and in my total points league he will be with T. Jones.

I took a QB and 3 WR before touching a RB in both leagues. At this point I'm leading scorer in both leagues.

I like Slaton as long as he is healthy there is no one on that team that would block his carries.
