Week 5 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

A bit early to say but it looks like I should have gone with Hixon instead of Camarillo. That'll teach me not to trust the rankings!

My plasma just made a popping sound and picture went very faint (I think power supply board from what I've googled). Luckily still under warranty.

Sucks to happen on a Sunday.

Started Calvin Johnson, Santana Moss and Rudi Johnson.

Sat Andre Johnson and DeAngelo Williams.

edit to add moss

Rivers instead of Rodgers :wall:

V. Jackson instead of Hixon :wall:

Also, I can all but guarantee that Selvin Young will have 100 yards today (I just dropped him).

The rankings giveth and the rankings taketh away. I started Steve Slaton over Brandon Jacobs. :blackdot: Yeah, Slaton has a TD. But it figures Jacobs monster game of the season is on my bench.

I had to coach my daughters soccer game

left the house at 11:00am eastern

came home and found out Schaub not playing

I'm burnt in 2 leagues because of this... :(

was going to pickup both Hixon and Carmarillo in one league, have Colston on the bench. The league has small benches so I stayed with Walter as my WR. Should have picked both of them up, was my bye week for winslow so i need another TE, Carlson doing nothing as well.

Ugh. I had to go with following guys going today:

Kitna

LJ

S.Moss

Bowe

M.Clayton

Gates

Packers D

This is ugly. I hate fantasy football.

:hot: I've got Rivers and Rodgers as well. Started Rivers today...of course because every week so far the one on my bench has scored more. :wall:

I'll bet it's almost a wash now.

Playing the one person I want to beat in my league, and I started Santana Moss and Antonio Gates.

I benched DeAngelo Williams.

ps boy am I glad that I started Carson Palmer too.

If you seriously are beating yourself up for not starting a 3rd string rookie TE who missed most of training camp, you need to get another hobby.

Screwed up and accidentally started Justin Gage and had Roddy White sitting on the bench.

Also had DeAngelo Williams on the bench in another league. Not as upset about that one as I rolled the dice with Westbrook and it just didn't pan out.

ESPN Ten Team Performance League:

Started: Jonathan Stewart 5.5, Calvin Johnson 2, Dwayne Bowe 7.5

Benched DeAngelo Williams 32.5, Andre Johnson 23.5, Roddy White 23

Yahoo 12 Team Performance League:

Started Chris Johnson 6.8

Benched Ronnie Brown 20.8

Good Pickups this week: CHI DEF 18 pts, CAR DEF 19 pts, John Carney NYG PK 14 pts.

I benched Eli today because Burress was out and that's his go-to guy. Eli can't put up big numbers without Burress, right? Especially against a good Seahawks defense, right?

No wait, stick with this, because that's not the funny part.

I figured it was time for Schaub to break out, so I started him, and then I went to the sports bar to catch the 'Skins game. That's probably going to cost me a win this week.

Can someone please tell me why Brandon Marshall isn't more involved? First Santana Moss, and now THIS?

My three quarterbacks are Matt Hasselbeck, John Kitna and Trent Edwards. They have been averaging 9, 17, 12 respectively in our scoring system. Not great, but OK.

This week I start Edwards, concussion - 18 yards - 0 points

Not that starting anyone would have helped.

Hasselbeck, benched - 105 yards - 3 points

Kitna, benched - 74 yards - 0 points

:goodposting:  :lmao:

Was undefeated and the league high scorer through 4 weeks.

Started Kitna over Kurt Warner and Calvin Johnson and M. Moore over Westbrook.

I think I found where things went wrong for you.
I recognize they've given up some passing yards, but they get sacks and pressure, and I figured the Giants would just pound the ball without Burress. Anyway, yeah, I blew this one royally. :goodposting:
