ORLY?Must've forgotten that bit. Does he play that fast?Draftguys TV Profiles Gary Guyton
By the way, he actually was of one of the fastest OLBs at the combine - 4.47 40
From what I saw at Georgia Tech he does. We were mystified when he went undrafted. I had him as a 3rd round pick.ORLY?Must've forgotten that bit. Does he play that fast?Draftguys TV Profiles Gary Guyton

Looks like I must have my predraft thoughts on him confused with Jonathan Goff or something. Apologies on that.ORLY?Must've forgotten that bit. Does he play that fast?Draftguys TV Profiles Gary Guyton

Where would you put Guyton rank wise with the other rookie LB's this year and forward? Both Sig and I weighed in above in print and video. My opinion hasn't changed much since we started talking about him in-depth last month.I'd be shocked if Guyton wasn't starting at the SILB position by next season. Belichick isn't prone to giving rookies vital playing time unless they're ready to contribute and Guyton has been, at times, the only LB on the field. I don't see Tedy Bruschi in a significant role next year and Guyton is a better player than his offseason bounce around the league would suggest. He's highly unlikely to ever gain LB1 or high LB2 value, but he's definitely rosterable if you're looking to the future.

Everything after Rivers is tough to project. None of my post-draft fears about Dizon have been allayed. Adibi, Bell and Gooden look much less likely to see viable opportunity in 2009 than they were this offseason. There's an argument to be made that Guyton may be ranked higher than anyone not named Mayo, Lofton and Rivers throughout the coming offseason. That's not necessarily saying he's a stud-in-waiting, it's more an indictment of something we feared in April and May -- that the middle ranks of this class weren't what they were in the previous two season for IDP purposes. Thanks Jene, wondered where you'd put in compared to the likes of Kehl, BellQuick tiered thoughts:LB2+: Mayo/LoftonLB2: RiversLB2-: DizonLB3 upside: Adibi/Kehl/GuytonUpside without any obvious opportunity: Bell/Gooden/HayesWhere would you put Guyton rank wise with the other rookie LB's this year and forward? Both Sig and I weighed in above in print and video.
