Game Thread W10 - Baltimore V Houston (1 Viewer)

With the NFC East and Pittsburgh looming yet on their schedule, I don't think the Ratbirds can lose in Houston today and have any chance of making the playoffs. With a win, however, I give 'em something like a 25% chance of getting in, which is roughly 25 points higher than I liked their chances on September 1.

Maybe elbow, not shoulder... we'll see if he comes back in.. might just be a stinger situation

TD Flacco to Figurs hon. That was Mason's TD

Man... Slaton's redraft value is sinking like a stone... losing carries to Moats now too...

ETA: I wonder if Slaton was hurt on the Suggs hit..

ETAA: nm, Slaton is back in

Texans suck

1st and goal on the 1 and Rosenfels throws an INT to Ngata

That was disgusting, especially if you have Slaton going

J. Jones consistently making questionable decisions. sigh I really hope this guys gets his head in the books this offseason.

I was forced to start Slaton in a couple leagues due to byes/injuries, and I am very distraught at this half. Two TDs and about 60 yards he should have had. Instead: 0.

The good news is the Texans ARE moving the ball fairly well.

I started slaton over Leon Washington and that TD called back was the reason I did. I figured Sage would be doing alot of dump offs and screens.

How did Houston get the ball to the Balt 5?

The play by play doesn't make sense.

Slaton's big gain was called back on a hold at balt 42 then they get it to the 5?

They followed that play up with a long pass to Jacoby Jones. That's what you're missing. Like a 50 yard pass play.

This white dude Anderson is a playmaker
If you look back at most of the Houston game threads I've been warning people to keep an eye on him.
Played at our local high school - Thousand Oaks HS. Was an absolute playmaker there - unstoppable receiving and returning kicks. Tough as nails - showed at Colorado State that he can play on Sundays. He'll get a bigger role going forward.

13 penalties called so far, including 2 defensive holding calls on running plays. :lmao: It's either a badly played game or a badly called one.

A little ray of sunshine for Heap owners today, though.

The endzone holding was legit, but I am not sure about the others. This has been a solid game as far as ball movement on both sides, but the penalties are bad54-yard field goal by the Ravens backup kicker. This game should be closer, I expect the Texans to crawl back in it in the 2nd half.

Dudes a player and I think he's aleast one year away from being a major piece to this team. I think he's ready but our offense is not in full throttle yet. He's gonna be a great slot guy.

For some reason - maybe to make sure enough guys are covering A Johnson - Rex Ryan has dialed back the blitzing today and the front 3 or 4 are getting very little push. Except for the holding call in the end zone, the Texans' Oline has handled things fairly well up front. Sage has had time to look around.

Like Zilla said, looks like things could break open on both sides if we could get 2 or 3 plays in without a flag.

Even though the Texans are down right now I dont have the feeling I usually do. My gut is telling me that our offense and defense have 1 more BIG play each.

I agree. They look fine overall. Sage is spreading the ball around nicely. That INT on first and goal was painful, but it's still a one-score game. Should be an interesting half.

This game is very much in doubt. Ratbirds aren't dominating defensively and are mistake-prone (and without Mason) on offense. They can be had today.Whoops, there's Mason now.
