Best of the backup RBs...Betts? Rhodes? Mewelde? RRice? (1 Viewer)

Again, this is for shallower leagues, mostly redraft..but what RBs would you take a chance on rostering, hoping for some good production in the coming weeks (assuming current injury or non-injury situation) and considering their schedules?

Which might you hang onto as a possible keeper?

I like these guys in this order...think M.Moore and Ray Rice have a chance to be good keepers. I like BJGreen to keep being serviceable as long as I don't see both Jordan and Morris back. I like the upside of Rhodes b/c of the great schedule and just watching Addai in and out of every game he 'starts.' MMoore seems to fit better in the PIT passing game and FWP has had 3 diff injuries this season already. Ward has been a good but not great flex. Tons of upside if they decide to rest Jacobs or Jacobs gets hurt. L. Betts...big surprise that he's healthy and Portis' injury might not keep him out. RRice looked great until he got squat last week. The rest are longshots.

BJGreen (Morris coming back anytime soon? Jordan apparently still out)

D. Rhodes (Addai hurt, or hurting or just plain injury risk?)

M. Moore (FWP hurt, hurting and just plain injury risk?)

Ward/Bradshaw (Ward a solid flex and both these guys might see more carries to keep Jacobs fresh)

L. Betts (may not be healthy, Portis just might suit up)

R. Rice (3 headed unpredicatable craziness in BAL)

R. Moats (got some carries last week)

Fred Jackson (BUF has got to start running the ball more...maybe more carries?)

T.Bell/Hillis/Sevlin (DEN situation too unsettled to guess?)

M. Bennett, Dunn, Cadillac TB situation pretty murky. Unsure of Graham's health.

Your thoughts/rankings?

Two guys you can start even without an injury:

Leon Washington and Jerious Norwood

If Thomas Jones ever went down I feel that Washington could be Westbrook light. Not sure that Norwood can handle the load if Turner went down, but I wouldn't mind seeing him get a chance (Washington seems to be the more powerful build). Both guys have high yards per carry (Norwood is STILL over 6.0 per carry and near 300 career carries).

Interesting that Washington weighs the same as Westbrook and is 1 inch taller. The more I think about when Westbrook came into the league how they limited his touches, then when they finally gave him opportunity to carry the load how explosive he has been makes me think Washington, given the opportunity, could explode.
