Texans vs Chiefs Preseason Game (1 Viewer)

Looks like LJs only gonna get one series and done. Ran very hard on his 4 runs.

Theres a steady rain so stats might be alittle scewed in this one.

ummm y is Bowe running with the 2nd team?
Because he pissed off Haley. From Rotoworld, citing KC Star: "Teicher says Bowe will almost certainly be a starter when the Chiefs face the Ravens in Week 1, but coach Todd Haley doesn't feel the third-year receiver is responding to the Chiefs' new discipline, conditioning-oriented approach. Haley is "willing to make an example (of Bowe) to get his point across," Teicher says. "Until he figures that out, (Bowe) will be on the bench.""

Slaton's value dropping.............
Brown's been the favorite to backup Slaton for a long time. Their primary concern was making sure Brown is/can stay healthy, which as everyone knows has been a problem in the past.

wow

Bradley will end up starting, with Engram in the slot and Toomer being the reliable vet WR4. He and Bowe look good and are actually catching the ball, so hopefully Haley's message worked. No more of that Copper/Darling starting at WR garbage.

I think Okam is really gonna be a difference maker for us in the middle this year. Dont know how many snaps he can play a game though cause he is HUGE.

So Bowe is looking good? I know you said he is in with the second team, but I see he has 5 rec's for 70 yards or something. How does he look?

Very Good. Although he is abusing a guy who probably wont be here next week. But he is getting open and catchin everything.

Slaton's value dropping.............
Who on this board is in your league and do you actually think that your statement will sway them? Chris Brown will be lucky to make it thru pre-season. He's that frail.

Things I took away from this game:

*** Matt Cassel was tentative, he'll need to show a lot more before I'm a believer this year

*** Dwayne Bowe is so light years ahead of the rest of those WRs, I don't care what the depth chart says, he's a fantasy WR1 this year

*** Brodie Croyle may be the QB2 over Thigpen; I had assumed otherwise

*** For all the talk about Chris Brown being Slaton's RB2/handcuff, pay attention to the fumbles. Brown fumbled, that's not going to help

*** Schaub is so precise, the guy is a really talented passer who I don't think gets his due. The key for him is health, but while he's on the field, look out

I agree. his only weakness is his deep ball as he puts too much air under it. When he stays clean he is almost flawless.

Cassel looked fine, but he was throwing to one of the worst groups of receivers you'll see on a "1st team". At one point on 3rd down and 3, he scrambled to his right and threw a pass right on target to a TE on the sideline and the guy just dropped it. Get Bowe, Bradley, Engram and Toomer out there and he'll be fine.
