Lots of threads here with lists of people to follow. Use the search.

Do me a favor and add the link of your search? Not being a twitter user I am getting pelted with threads that are not really giving me what I am looking for (probably wrong keywords other than twitter) , which is exactly what you said - list of people to watch.

Ya, same here. Just tried to search it and got gobbeldy #####. Would be great to have a thread of links to NFL twitter people.

OK, this is going to be addicting. Just signed up and searched and started following most of my key players plus adam schefter. Interestingly, Eddie Royal has more followers than Tom Brady.

I'm just starting to scratch the surface with Twitter. But, I do think that as you develop a solid set of trusted tweeters...you certainly can gain advantage over those who don't. Where I think it really adds value is helping you with the back half of your deep rosters.

I find the interface to Twitter to be pretty crude. There's no way (that I know of) to structure the tweets so that they are grouped in some sort of logical structure. You essentially have a fire hose of information that you are constantly scanning for information.

What I did was to create a folder for each team in Fire Fox, and then bookmarked those tweeters that I follow under the appropriate folder. That way, if I want to 'research' a specific player, I at least have a small list to start with.

For instance, when twitters started to surface last week of the expanded role Caddy was going to play in the Bucs offense, I had about 6 different inside sources who focus on Tampa that I was able to peruse and get valuable input well in advance of his game 3 start.

So...I think it is a tool the serious player will leverage, but it will take some work to get it honed and efficient for you.

Saw Will Carroll from Football Outsiders is apparently not doing Twinjuries anymore, which for $5 was going to be an injury update service on Sundays via twitter. Anybody else know of anything similar?

Not that this board alone doesn't provide that kind of info...

Ochocinco News Network

Ochocinco is used to making news. Now, he's trying to break some. The Bengals receiver is planning to form his own social news network on Twitter, using his player contacts around the league to develop news about other teams. The idea grew out of his partnership with Motorola, which will provide the technology.

Advice: Ochocinco has dubbed the venture OCNN, for the Ochocinco News Network. He will try to compete with mainstream media to tell fans what's going on with NFL teams. He's even got a slogan. "If I break it, you might as well believe it," Ochocinco told The Associated Press in a phone interview.
