Adibi loses starting job due to poor play against the Vikings (1 Viewer)

I guess I forgot to mention he blew the exact same play the week before when Mike Bell ran a big score. :hophead:

Wow. That's a bit harsh. Where were the safties on that play too? It looked like 11 men in the box to me.

Adibi over pursued, lost containment. Had he stayed home, he should have been able to slow up Peterson or forced him to the middle. He also was flagged for a Personal Foul (roughing the passer) on a thiird down, however call looked questionable. Diles should be an upgrade on run defense, they may lose a little in pass coverage.

The safeties took bad angles/under estimated ADP's speed (I know). From everything I understand the Texans would have rather had Adibi win the battle because he more athletic and for what they want in a WLB he fits the profile better. that said, he never had a commanding lead for the position probablay 60/40 at best. Diles is more a football player than athlete who is good on special teams and can back-up all three positions, so he a better roster fit as the reserve than Adibi, but Diles proved on the field last year that especially against the run he has better instincts and discipline. It did not come down to one play, but that one play highlighted Adibi's weakness, especially since he apparently made the same mistake a week earlier.

depth chart hasnt been updated. Last word is that Diles will start week 1 at WILL. This is assuming Cushing is back full strength to take the SAM, all indications are that he is.

depth chart hasnt been updated. Last word is that Diles will start week 1 at WILL. This is assuming Cushing is back full strength to take the SAM, all indications are that he is.

ya well you know how it goes, it claims a "league source" informed them that the Texans have told Diles he is the starter. I suppose you could take it with a grain of salt, although no one from the Texans has refuted the claim since it was reported.

well before breaking his leg last year he was leading the team in tackles. Hes excellent against the run, but iffy in pass coverage. If your in a tackle heavy league he could be a cheap pickup for you.

I am in a tackle heavy league. You think he will perform better than the likes of L.Timmons or J.Durant?

agreed. Timmons should be a beast if he gets healthy.
