Houston O-line hurting bad (1 Viewer)

Last season, no Texans starting offensive lineman missed a play because of an injury. This season, the Texans now have lost two starting offensive linemen for the year.

Right guard Mike Brisiel suffered a season-ending foot injury during Sunday's 28-21 loss at Arizona. Brisiel, 26, will join left guard Chester Pitts on injured reserve. Pitts is recovering from major knee surgery.

Kasey Studdard replaced Pitts. Rookie Antoine Caldwell and veteran Chris White will compete to see who will start for Brisiel, who played every snap last season when the Texans averaged 115.4 yards rushing per game and 4.3 yards per carry.

(both starting guards gone, plus C Chris Myers is one of the worst in the league)

I heard the Texans brought in G Tutan Reyes for a workout. He's been with 4-5 teams in 5 yrs ..this indicates the Texans are desperate for experienced interior linemen.

disclaimer: I just traded for the Bengals DEF and will start them against Hou this weekend.

I think the Bengals D actually moved down a few spots in the Top 250 forward. No biggie but after holding Baltimore to 7 offensive points at their place, we can finally take them seriously I think. If Leon Hall can keep Andre Johnson reasonably in check, I could see a nice day for the Bengals D at home.

Did Arizona register a bunch of saacks last week vs Hou?

And this is why I am shocked at the early projections for Cinn Def AT HOME this week against Hou. I don't know if Dodds did his research on the Hou offensive line.

Again, I might be biased as a new Bengals Def owner, but whatever the Top 250 is, they should be flying up the board.

--tied for 9th in scoring defense

--tied for 4th in sacks

--tied for 8th in TD passes allowed

--offense starting to grind, allowing defense to rest on sidelines

--3 straight home games coming up (Hou, Chi, Bal)

I would not be surprised if Schaub was sacked 6 times w/ 2-3 turnovers this Sunday

I am starting the Bengals D this week. I am foreseeing (hoping for) plenty of forced fumbles this week on Shaub and Slaton. Hopefully a few lead to defensive teeds
