Steve Slaton... (1 Viewer)

Seriously...what's good with this guy? I mean, so far, based on his early season performances, is he really this bad? Is it more to do with him? Sophomore Slump? Offensive Line? Coaching? Play calling? What's the deal with him? Dude is looking like major ### cheeks out there..

he's not running through traffic & slipping tackles like he did last year. Although he hasnt had the same opportunity to do the same.

As far as I am concerned, the whole Houston offense seems out of sync.

I cant offer more of an explanation, but I do believe that someone here will be able to provide a better explanation.

I'm trying to deal him for a decent QB (Warner, Roethlisberger, Palmer). Trade offer hasn't had time to incubate yet.

I have Gore, K. Smith and Rice and consider Slaton my worst back with the lowest forward prospects. Hope I'm not wrong.

The one good thing from last week was that he appeared to be in on just about every play, except of course the goal line. But I was at the game, and I have Slaton on my team, so every Houston snap I was looking for #20 and rarely did I see him not in.

Now if he could just do something productive...

O-line has lost 3 of its best starters.

Great in space.

If Chris Brown loses GL duties, I'd sell the moment they name Slaton for that role [as he's no better than Brown]. No clue why they think an upright running Brown is a good option at the goal line.

I would buy. Slaton has been averaging over 100 total yards per game. He's heavily involved in the passing game which keeps his value afloat even when he has a poor rushing game or doesn't score. The scores will come, though. Chris Brown's ineptitude has led directly to two of the Texans losses. In one game, he fumbled at the goal line, in another he was stuffed twice from the one. Slaton already has good value in leagues that count receptions and his value can only increase from here on out. Whoever said the Texans offense is out of sync is way of base. They've been very good and the schedule only gets better from here on out.

Schedule for Slaton with rank against RBs:

06 @CIN (11)

07 SF (7)

08 @BUF (30)

09 @IND (23)

10 BYE

11 TEN (2)

12 IND (23)

13 @JAC (20)

14 SEA (25)

15 @STL (16)

16 @MIA (8)

Fairly good. I'm mulling a trade where I'd get Slaton myself...
