Week 6 Suicide Pool Strategy (1 Viewer)

Didn't see a thread on this yet, sorry if I missed it.

Looks like there are a lot of easy wins this week if you're the type that just wants to play it safe. GB home vs Det, Pit home vs Cle, NYJ home vs Bills are all divisional matchups but look lopsided on paper at least. Philly's traveling out west to Oakland but that should be a W also.

Then you've got matchups like Jax-StL, Was-KC, TB-Car, etc. Anyone picking a side in one of these games and hoping for the best?

I'm on the fence this week, not sure if I should just take one of the "locks" and breathe easy til next week, or if this is one of those weeks to go out on a limb and try to steal a W with a crappy team. I have the Jets in there now, but I'm not sure I'm sticking with it...

IMO there are only 2 locks this week. PIT over CLE and PHI over OAK.The rest are favorites, sure, but this is the NFL and there are precious few true locks. Most teams have sufficient talent to win a surprise game, with a key couple of turnovers or big plays on special teams.GB was a 6-10 team last year and just 2-2 this year. They shouldn't be considered a lock over a DET team that could be on the rise. JAC is so bad when they're bad that they can't be considered a lock over anyone. Bulger is back for the Rams, Avery and SJax are weapons, and they could end up biting the Jags. Jets have a rookie QB who could have one of those disaster games rookies are prone to having, and the BUF D is decent. And the Jets D gave up yardage and points to MIA last week pretty freely. No lock there. WAS, KC, CAR, and TB are all inconsistent messes. No locks there for favorites WAS and CAR.Always go with one of your best 2 or 3 options. Don't get cute and try to save teams for later. It's survive and advance, and if you take a weak favorite and they lose, you've just saved a better choice that you'll never get to use.EDIT -- what would we save PIT for anyway... they'll never have a better game on their sched than home v CLE.

Don't sleep on NE at home vs. TEN. The Titans have an atrocious pass defense, and we know what Brady, Moss and Welker can do when they're on.

1 Buf@Ne

2 Min@Det

3 Kc@Phil

4 Det@Chi

5 Oak@NyG

6 Det@Gb

7 Ind@Stl

8 Oak@Sd

9 Det@Sea

10 N.O.@Stl

11 Az@Stl

12 Oak@Dal

13 Oak@Pit

14 Stl@Ten

15 Hou@Stl

16 Det@Sf

17 ?

I try to stay away from both road teams and divisional matchups which left me picking Jacksonville over STL today. Can't say I'm not a little nervous about the pick though.
