Game Thread W8 - Cleveland V Chicago (1 Viewer)

Browns took the Bengals to OT; the Bears just got completely blown out by the Bengals. For some reason it still seems like the Browns will get blown out today.

Nice to see Anderson hasn't lost it. His first pass is about 5 yards short and directly into the ground. Nice pass, would you just go to the bench already?

Did Hester nearly run back his first punt return of the day?

Here is the play from nfl.com

"4-4-CLE 26(13:43 Q1) D.Zastudil punts 50 yards to CHI 24, Center-R.Pontbriand. D.Hester to CLE 44 for 32 yards (D.Zastudil)."

Another nice pass there. Straight into the knees of a TE who hadn't turned around yet. :goodposting:

Yes, he was about a step away from going to the house.

Anyone know why Wolfe was getting the carries in the redzone after the pick? Is Forte injured or is he benched?

The dynamic duo of DA and Jamal Lewis combine to turn the ball over in a terrible exchange. The Browns should have just stayed in Cleveland.

He's not injured or benched. They probably just had a couple of plays they wanted to run with Wolfe. One of them was a designed screen.

Cleveland's D is actually playing good <again>.

Anderson is just awful so far. Two turnovers have done more for Chicago than their O.

is this game as poor as the score indicates? both teams sucking? not able to catch on tv today
It's pretty bad. Browns have 4 punts, 1 INT and 1 lost fumble. Bears have started 3 drives in Browns territory and haven't scored a TD yet.

Devin Hester has really come a long way from a guy I never thought would be more than a gimmick player on offense. I have been pretty impressed with him this year.

Browns get their first possession in Chicago territory on a terrible punt by the Bears. If they don't lose too many yards on this drive or a have a turnover, they might get a field goal attempt out of it.

Bears defense looking horrendous. The Browns have just scored an offensive TD, which doesn't happen often.

Cutler is a tough dude. I think today some may question the trade for him, but five years from now Chicago will be glad they made it.

I think the Browns should run the wildcat 80% of the time with Harrison and Cribbs in, and Quinn an option at WR to swap back and forth. Their O this year has been absolutely dreadful, and their WRs are just terrible. They run poor routes and drop the ball.
