Game Thread W8 - NY Giants V Philadelphia (1 Viewer)

The Giants are starting Hixon over Nicks to start with Manningham out? With decisions like that, they deserve to lose this game.

curious to know what happened on the weaver td play as well. trick play? short yardage play where he broke a bunch of tackles? mccoy resting?

Tuck could only get one arm on him. CC Brown sucks. ETA: brought in on blitz from opposite side of run; too slow to catch up.

Post #12. Eli must not have gotten the memo.

I said two weeks ago that Eli looked awful, and he still looks just as bad. He's consistently missed wide open receivers down the field for three straight weeks.

The Giants overall are not what most of us thought they were. They got fat and sassy against some bad teams, but the last three weeks have really exposed them. They are probably the 3rd best team in the NFC East right now.

yea people, the media, were just forgetting the teams they played to get to 5-0.

It looks like his foot injury is hurting more than he is letting on. Doesn't look like he's planting and following through real well.

Eh. The guy has never been accurate and always been overrated by the media. He's an average QB.

I've had plantar fasciitis very recently, and trust me, it isn't fun. And I was not a football player. And I had a mild case of it. It can't be easy playing with that, considering you need to plant on your foot when making throws and such.

The amount of times Eli just flings it downfield when he's got nothing there is ridiculous. It's amazing he doesn't have more picks.

Yeah.I guess the media helped him win an unprecedented number of games in a row on the road against number 1 seeds in the playoffs and come back against the Patriots in the Superbowl.Stupid media.

so lucking into a few literally miracle wins in a row as the qb of a team with a great defense means youre an above average qb.thanks for the analysis.

Not to denigrate what Eli did, but he won one game on the road against a number 1 seed in those playoffs. One. That is hardly unprecendented.

I am aware. But you said he won an unprecedented number of games in a row on the road against number 1 seeds in the playoffs, which is not possible, since it is impossible to play more than one number 1 seed on the road in the playoffs (since if you play the other number 1 seed, it would be in the Super Bowl on a neutral field. Simply put, you overstated your case with misinformation.

That is just asinine analysis.Great defenses always make the offensive team look better. If you want to blame Eli when the Giants loose, you might want to give him a bit of credit when they win.BTW, it wasn't Strahan, Pierce or Osi who lead the Giants down the field in the 4th quarter of the Superbowl to go ahead of an undefeated team many were calling amongst the best ever. It was Eli.

Valid. I stand correctly.Eli and the Giants won an unprecedented number of road playoff games in a row vs. division winners.Better?

He had a great run in the playoffs that year. He's also had some horrendous games in the playoffs. And in the regular season he's never been anything special. He gets off to good starts, and then tails off at the end. Not a bad player. Just average.

Still not correct. Pittsburgh did the same thing in 2005.
