Game Thread W8 - Oakland V San Diego (1 Viewer)

Well since the TD, LT has carried 4 times for 5 yards. He's back to his old self.

Come on it's vs the Oakland swiss cheese run defense. I need him to put up a big number!

Anyone think he will put up a big number today???

Oakland will win this game. San Diego can't stop a player who gets the ball handed off to him and then runs with it.

LT upate since the 6 yard TD:

8 carries for 7 yards.

Oakland D gave up over 300 yards rushing to the Jets last week!!

Anyone watching the game. Are there no holes again, is LT looking slow???

He's had carries for -4 yards and -5 yards that he couldn't do anything about.

Poor LT. It's borderline funny watching him run sometimes now. Hard to watch a guy that was the best at his position for so long just falling down all over the field nowadays.

I keep waiting for the light to go on for Weddle. He has good ball instincts, I just thought when SD drafted him he would make big plays more often. He just seems like one of those fingertip players that's always close to making the big play but can never quite complete it.

Anyone know what happened to Floyd? He started with 64 yards and I haven't seen anything? Is he hurt or is 2 catches enough to put Chambers back in?

One of the catches by Chambers was a great grab and pretty much changed the drive from SD punting from their own goal line to an eventual FG. I think with the # of offensive options in this offense you have to expect a lot of ebb and flow with production from anyone in his offense other than Rivers.

Yeah but nothing since the second drive? If I was a coach and a dude put up 64 yards on 2 catches in the opening drive you might want to get him the ball instead of constantly force feeding it to V-Jax no matter how many people are on him.

Just my thoughts.

JaMarcus Russell finished with 109 yards, one interception, and a fumble.

His self-evaluation: "I did a pretty good job when it boiled down to it."

LOL

I was just coming in here topost that blurb I saw on rotoworld:

JaMarcus Russell said after Sunday's loss to San Diego that he was pleased with his 109-yard passing effort.

"I did a pretty good job," he said. Russell took five sacks, fumbled, threw an interception, averaged under five yards per pass attempt, and completed two passes for 16 yards to his wide receivers. He is 33rd in QB rating, tied for fifth in interceptions, and is completing 48.4% of his throws.

Well. He can throw the ball from one endzone to the other while laying flat on his back on the grass. Has to count for something. Right?
