Game Thread W8 - Minnesota V Green Bay (1 Viewer)

Skol Vikings! Enjoy the game everyone! Stupid 9ers / Colts game is still on now... Fox better make sure I don't miss anything!

This game isn't available on local TV in AZ or in parts around the Carolinas. It would be nice to hear about the reaction of the Packer fans to Favre.

Well yeah, I'd love to see it Vikings 146, Packers 2 with Rodgers being knocked out of the game after one play...but since that isn't going to happen, I'd settle for a close, fun game where both teams have 2-3 shots to win it.

####### announcers- this is about the teams not #### Favre.

If Green Bay wins it changes the whole division.

Go Green Bay

No Winfield is huge.

Rodgers is great when he has time. He's very athletic, has good footwork and throws well on the run.

Classy GB fans booing Favre loudly. :football: :football:

Lame. Thought those fans were better than that.

Applaud the guy before and after, but you're nuts if you think they should cheer the guy in the middle of a freakin' divisional game.

Clay Matthews, Jr's last season in the NFL was 1996 with the Falcons. I wonder if there are any players that played with or against both him and his son, Clay Matthews III of the Packers?

Actually Bret Favre faced both father and son. Favre met the father in a playoff game in 1995.

What are they supposed to do?He's a division opponent :football:
He also put the team and fans through a lot of crap, calling the Lions giving away inside info after the Jets trade, lied to the Jets (about retiring)and sent the Vikings medical records the very next day. This wasn't like Montana going to the Chiefs. It was personal with him and thus the fans. Now (2nd series)the booing has gone too far.

You may consider it unjustified but it's far from unclassy. Short of him going to Chicago he knew what he was getting into. I kinda consider it like the awareness I believe Cowher has in the Browns/Steelers rivalry and why he didn't go there in the offseason.

It's funny. Brett said he had hoped he had earned the fans respect enough not to be booed. My thinking was, its a two way street, and you would think the Packers organization/fans would have earned his respect enough not to screw them over.

:football: Who said they should applaud him?J
Once again... you expect them to sit in silence? This is a huge game. I'm not seeing at all where you are coming from.
Of course not. They should make noise for their defense like any good fan would. Are you trying to say they boo every QB like this?J

Get over it already. Some of you twist whatever you can find to hate the guy.(your whining about who interviews Favre is a pefect example) He gave the Packers and their fans 16 great years. Packer fans should be thankful they were able to watch a guy like that play for him all those years.
