Game Thread W9 - Washington V Atlanta (1 Viewer)

Nice cadence by Ryan to draw Haynesworth offside on that 4th & 1 at the Washington 8 & give the Falcons the automatic 1st & Goal to Go, quickly followed by a Ryan to Gonzo TD. :lmao:

 
3rd & long the Falcons sack Campbell with only a 3 man rush. Betts did some kind of whiffle slap & tickle as you run by me to sack my QB block. :lmao:

Don't really understand why the Skins always take one of the NFL's best blocking RB's (Portis) out of the game when in 3rd & long situations. :shrug:

 
Falcons O'line showing mucho respect to Haynesworth with a triple team but are still stopped shy of the 1st.

Oops....Skins line up in Neutral Zone & give the Falcons the 1st down :shrug:

 
Portis finally has a nice little run for some positive yardage which of course gets wiped by a holding penalty.

Then to rub some salt in, Portis gets his bell rung & has to be helped off.

 
Well that should do it for cambell's NFL career. I'll start scouting offensive players in Washington next year.

 
No sign of Portis since he got his bell rung. I wouldn't be surprised if they're asking him who he is & he's answering with....I'm Batman

 
I'm absolutely astounded that the Skins can even put their uniforms on without screwing it up. I would expect half the team to run out on the field with their shoes on the wrong feet. :thumbup:

 
Campbell's no stud, but the OL and receivers dropping passes or failing to run the right routes have been far greater problems. Now Campbell, whose toughness nobody doubts, is starting to get gun shy. Everything's just snowballing.

I'm sure it'll be better when they hire a new play-caller or fire Zorn. :goodposting:

 
Whaddya know? Campbell with a nice pass to Big Mike Sellers for a 47 yard gain.

...immediately followed by a sack. Can't have it all.

 
Seller then proceeds to ole~ his pass blocking responsibility before releasing & it's a big sack of Campbell.

 
4th sack for the Falcons & it's a 4th & 6 now. Skins will punt my bad...kick a FG.

Jason Campbell almost never throws the ball away, setting himself up for those sacks. Makes you wonder if he forgets that he's allowed to do that.

 
Falcons Kick Returner initially bobbles the kick off but then gets a handle on it & puts in a nice little return. Falcons will get decent field position right around their own 40 yard line

Neither does Roethlisberger and it works for him even behind a relatively poor o-line. Difference is that Big Ben has far better WR's who justify the additional wait. I can't fault Campbell for wanting to make plays, but this offense is just brutal.
 
The special teams gives up a long kick return, and then good to see the stout defense there on the Turner run.

The Redskins are banging on all cylinders! :confused:

 
Nice run by Turner the Burner for the TD.

For those who can't see this game, this is really Turner's 2nd long run. First won't doesn't show up in the stats though, as it was called back on a penalty. But the point is Turner is gashing the Skins D pretty badly.

Yes, it is Betts with his whopping 10 yards. Just in case you weren't aware, the Skins O'line has been absolutely decimated by injury. We're watching their 3rd stringers & practice squad guys.
 
Mike Williams is getting burned repeatedly at RT. He have given up two sacks and was beaten badly on the play were everyone was there to sack Cambell. Betts blocking has not looked good either.

Super late hit on Ryan by Landry, as Ryan scrambles out of bounds for the 1st.

Then 'effing Hall feels he's got to put his 2 cents in. What a putz that ##### bag is.
