Week 9 Venting Thread (1 Viewer)

Injuries killing me today..

Portis is going to leave me with .4 at one RB... Opponent has Turner and Addai.. I need Brees to have a 6 TD day..

I hate the Cardinals. They look like last year's Cards against my Giants so I pick them with my sucide pick last week against the Panthers. What do they do? They stink it up. Now they are demolishing the Bears in Chicago.

Dear God in Heaven, I hate Mike Sims-Walker.

Dude is my WR3 because I've got 2 guys in the top 8. Can't bench WRs. So he's on the pine except for bye weeks.

Averaging >15 FP per game when I don't start him.

The two weeks I did start him? My main WRs bye weeks? Suspended in the afternoon game so I couldn't change my lineup, 0 points. 3 rec. for 9 yards, 0 points.

Averaging exactly 0 ppg when I do start him.

Is it possible at all for Haley to suck at coaching any more then he does? How hard is it to get the ball into your best offensive weapons hands? Isn't this is what Cassell was brought in for? Jesus I really wish Bowe would of been dealt to Baltimore earlier in the year.

I feel your pain ... struggled with a Portis vs Maroney decision. Obviously I picked wrong. Few things suck more than the early injury leaving you with a week-crippling hole in your lineup. To beat myself up more, I look at Betts' numbers and think "That should've been Clinton's!"

Starting Portis (and he was my keeper this year)...... :fishing:

Just all and all a bad, bad year in one of my leagues. 21 years of playing and I just blew almost all my picks...just makes you feel stupid at 1-7.

I am in first place in my other league, so hopefully I can makes some $$$ in that league to make up for the money I will lose in this one.

Can't win every year, but you like to at least be competitive...

How many TD's will Gates have the rest of the year?

a) 0

b) 0

c) 0

d) 0

He's killing me. Let's triple cover Gates and leave the nickel corner on Vincent Jackson. Great idea!

I am going to lose again this week, this time by 1 point, dropping to 3-6 despite having the most points scored in our league. I started out 3-1 and have now dropped 5 straight. Chris Johnson's last two games have been great to watch but I'd like to be happy after one of them. Ughh.

I lost primarily due to a 52 yard David Akers FG.

Congratulations Andy Reid you overrated fatass. You only lost by 4.

The following players have lost any stud status:

DeSean Jackson

Antonio Gates

Brandon Marshall

Greg Jennings

These guys are destroying my fantasy team. Jackson is so hit and miss that he can't be counted on.

Add Witten to this list. I'm not picking up Finley (if he's healthy) or Z. Miller and they will be replacing Witten from now on in my starting lineup. At least my expectations will be lower with these guys and they actually have a chance in hell of hitting pay dirt.

I took over a team 3 weeks ago.

These are my RBs

Ronnie Brown

Marion Barber

RBs i added...buckhalter and felix jones

At this rate, Buckhalter might be starting for me lol

lmao he had 2 weeks where he didnt score more then 9pts..this week included.

The NFL needs to fix the idiot going to the ground rule for catches.

If a guy catches it and has two feet down, it should be a ####### catch.

Gaffney just CAUGHT the ball. Had two feet down.. The guy stripped it as he was down out of bounds and they rule it an incomplete pass. That's just really a bad, dumb, nonsense rule.

The Steelers decision to go all Belichick and throw the TD pass at the end and run up the score caused me to lose by 0.5 pts. The many things I want to say would get me banned.

Denver couldn't get me 1.06 pts between Royal and Prater during the entire second half... OOF

I HATE YOU KYLE!!! :towelwave: :hot: :hot: :hot:

Forget about choosing Romo over Cutler that was the right decision or Crabtree over Bush also a right decision ... I lost by two on the Hines Ward end of game TD. Had Mendenhall (who I had) actually fumbled I'd have still won among other ways the end of that game should have played out.

Smackdown (136.15 pts) at The Knuckles (138.80 pts)

Up w/ a comfortable lead, then the Mendenhall fumble that was not called cost me 4 that I would have had W/ Denver D(2 for ff and 2 for fr). then, going against Ward and Pit decides to throw the ball to him for a TD. With all that going against me my Denver D now surrenders 28pts, which was like a total of 20 pt swing on what should never have happened and removed me from the top scorer of the week taking 20 bucks out of my pocket....

I lost because the Steelers were throwing the ball to Ward with 2 minutes left up 11. That was unbelievable. How stupid is that? First you take the chance of an incomplete pass stopping the clock, and you take the chance of a pick six the other way.

Amen, brother!

Me too, I was up by 4 points and my opponent had Hines Ward. Un#######believable that they didn't just run the clock out. Oh yeah, and I was playing against Warner who comes out of the game because they are winning by so much, only to come back in and throw a 5th TD. Lost by 2.#### like this makes me not even want to play anymore.

So unlucky to lose in my dynasty league. I'm 3-6 and I always seem to play the guy who scores the most points in a particular week. Scored 136 points and still failed to win. Time to build towards 2010!

I immediately thought of this thread when that play went down, even though it didn't cost me a win. Absolutely no reason to do that other than to make their end of the year stats look better. That had to a straight kick in the crotch for those who lost because of that absurdity. :lmao:

Sorry that the Steelers weren't trying to cater to peoples' fantasy teams. They were up by 11 pts with a minute and a half to go and I believe the Broncos still had a timeout left (although I could be wrong about that). Lets say the Steelers just kneel on the ball and kick the fg. Then lets assume they kick off and the Broncos run it back for a td. Then, lets assume they recover the onside kick. Now wouldn't you rather be up 28-10 than 24-10 at this point? I realize these are unlikely events but they're still possible. The Steelers ensured that there would be 0 percent chance of losing that game. Given the way they've performed in the 4th quarter this year, I don't blame them one bit for going for that extra td. Obviously people have a right to vent in here but I think it's silly to call that play "absurd".

They did not have a timeout, and that's what makes the move make no sense at all. They could have taken the clock down to about 40 seconds with a safe run. Assume they don't score, they go for it on 4th down with another safe run. Take it down to about 35 seconds and Denver takes over inside their own 5 yard line needing 2 scores in 35 seconds with no time outs. Frankly I think they should have taken a knee in that situation to force just that scenario.A short pass toward the sidelines that is intercepted is very frequently returned for a TD. Then a successful onside kick could lead to them winning the game. If they take a knee there, they win a million times out of a million in that situation. I don't advocate kicking a FG in any case. Make them go 95 yards and then score again in 35 seconds. It can't be done. That TD pass was all about vanity and nothing else.
