204, new league record.

My fantasy football life was in jeopardy today in one of my redraft leagues.

After 3 consecutive losses, I was 3-5... and trailing by 30 points at halftime in the early games as it looked like Bowe, Jennings and Ray Rice were poised to sharply miss their projected totals. (Thankfully Rice rebounded in the 2nd half.)

With the top team in the league on my schedule for next week, I had to resort to something drastic.

Abandoned on the waiver wire after Week 6, I elected to take a flyer on Julius Jones based on the favorable matchup against the Lions.

Dropped Mendenhall from my bench and substituted Double J into my flex spot in place of the hottest receiver in all of football, Miles Austin.

This was purely a desperation gut call based on matchup and because the stars were lining up to rob me of yet another close win.

Despite a non-existent Seahawk run game, the move paid off.

Julius delivered 6 extra fantasy points and secured me a narrow 90-88 victory.

Narrowly got away with benching MSW in favor of Burleson in my PPR league, I was tied for the best record league now I have it out right.

I want to brag this week after losing 4 weeks in a row vs. the high scoring team that week.

thank you, gore, rice, cutler and d. clark

Up by 15 points going into tonight with Mike Wallace starting as my WR. Was facing Holmes/Ward. 25 yard TD pass secured the win, even after the second ward TD. Mike Wallace is hot!

Won by a whisker despite having Dwayne Bowe in my lineup over Mike Sims-Walker. It also helped the Dallas stifled McNabb on Sunday night.
