Game Thread W9 - Carolina V New Orleans (1 Viewer)

I predict their questionable defense will probably give up about 21-24 points.....while getting about 3 sacks, 3 picks and return at least one of the INTs for a TD.

Agreed, Delhomme can easily throw the game away, but I think that Williams and Stewart run all over them.

So what's going on with this game? NO just looking out of it on offense? Obviously CAR is running all over them ...

NO moved it easily the last drive. Brees just dropped a snap on 3rd down to kill the drive.J.Stewart just fumbled, so the Saints are in business now.OR NOT! Int Chris Gamble.

Thanks for update, guys. This is the Dwill I was hoping for when I took him #4. :pickle:

However, this is not the NO team I was hoping for when I took them -12. :goodposting:

Well, they did end up covering as 6 point favorites when they were down 24-3 at the half in Miami. It ain't over yet. Especially when you have Jake Delhomme out there.

This play calling might be brilliant, but man is it sad to have QB that you don't feel comfortable throwing on 3rd down in any situation. I actually like Delhomme, but he's officially been neutered.

ETA: nevermind. I apologize for using the term brilliant when referring to Panther play-calling. This run it ever single 3rd down no matter what stuff is nice for a while, but I'm sure Fox will overdo it (as he pretty much already has). If you don't trust your QB to throw the ball under any circumstances, either put in a different QB or just roll out 3 TEs, 2 FBs, no QB, and direct snap it to Deangelo.

A half to forget for Colston. Two bad drops there.
really ??damn it....
Yeah, first one on a first down for a short gain. Then for a first down later on about 12 yards out. He just had him open down the middle on a first and goal but didn't throw it. He's getting targets, he'll be fine.ETA: Great defensive stop there by the Panthers. I don't see the Panthers stopping them the second half, but they do look good.

Panthers looking mighty stout. They really held up well after the penalty.
That and the Saints look really bad. This was a classic trap game for sure. hopefully they get it together in the second half. Missing the two starting DT's (clancy and Ellis) hurts the Saints against the run. It is a concern .

Fox has to open up the playbook a little bit in the second half, or this is going to end like the dolphins/saints game did a couple weeks ago. Teams can scheme to stop the run, gotta keep them honest if you expect any kind of running room.

Okay, here's hoping for the usual Jake to show up and throw some INTs.....(I picked NO in my money Survivor pool so no offense to the Car fans.)

This is John Fox. By the time he opens it up, it'll be too late. Personally, I think it already is. Fox will come out and run it 3 straight times (including 3rd and about 7), punt, then the Saints will strike quickly. The Panthers will be lucky to keep this thing within 2 TDs by the time this is all said and done.

Not for much but Reggie Bush just made one of the nicest one-handed grabs I've ever seen.

Meachem TD!! Lots of YAC.
