How many QBs will reach 4,000 yards OR 25 TDs this season? (1 Viewer)

A ton of QBs putting up great numbers this year. Obviously health is a huge factor here, but we could see 10 QBs get to 4,000 yards and 15 get to 25 TDs.

I've been thinking I had awesome QBs in every league, but it just seems like every fantasy team has a good QB this year.

yeah drafting a qb early this year is not paying dividends. My brady-moss league I'm barely hanging on, with ksmith/bush/mendenhall at rb. Had leon too, who did not do much before going down...

It is a qb league, and will be for the unforseeable future. Lots of great talent, and some talent sitting behind better talent...

Disagree. This was THE season to get a qb and wr early. With guys like Benson, Rice and Thomas Jones available later, Brees and Peyton are paying off, if you took the right backs later.Brady Started slow, but if you took the right backs 3rd-6th rounds, he'll be money through the push to FF playoffs.

this makes zero sense. No one knew benson would blow up. Neither did anyone know rice would do what he's doing. TJones is overachieving a bit, but went slightly later than he should have. Meanwhile, there's like 15 qbs that are doing well above their projections...

It's pretty insane really.

For instance Kurt Warner, who is on pace to finish with a ridiculous 4400 yards and 32 TDs, is currently QB13 in my league (25yds/pt, 4pts TD, -2 per INT) and 12th in total scoring.

4400/32 is good for QB1 most years.

Just for the heck of it, I took a look at what the top fourteen QBs were on pace to finish with:

Rodgers: 4500/32 (plus an additional 440/4 rushing!)

Schaub: 4700/30

Brady: 4800/32

Peyton: 5100/32

Brees: 4600/34

Roethlisberger: 4600/28

Rivers: 4500/28

Romo: 4400/26

Favre: 4000/32

Cutler: 4100/28

Palmer: 3600/28

Warner: 4400/32

Eli: 4000/30

Flacco: 4000/24

For comparison's sake, Peyton and Brady's career averages (4200/30 and 3800/28) would rank near the bottom of that list. Their medians would be basically at the bottom.

Now granted, not all those guys are going to keep up that pace, and some of them are going to miss some games to injury (and that's part of the reason so many are on such a large pace this year, barely any QB injuries), but it's still pretty remarkable. People used to say Peyton was worth a first round pick because his consistency guaranteed you 4000/26 out of him. But right now, there's enough guys doing that (or better) for every team in the league to have one.

I've been doing FF for almost 20 years and this is the fastest QB start I've ever seen.

The RBs do seem to take over much of the scoring in the 2nd half of most seasons.

But I still bet we get at least 5 QBs with 30 TDs.

I drafted Bensons in 3 out of my 4 leagues. I watched him last year and knew that he was going to be good. All it takes is watching a few games rather then sitting behind a computer and reading fantasy sites

2009 ended up with 10 4000-yard and 12 25-TD passers. The previous high for 4000-yard passers was 7 in 2007. And the previous high for 25 TD passes was 10 in 2007.
