I'm starting ? over Peyton Manning (1 Viewer)

Seems there's no doubt that Manning will play in some limited fashion vs/ the Jags Thursday. However, the latest "report" seems not quite as bad:

According to SI.com's Peter King, the Colts will "almost certainly begin the process of resting their veterans Thursday night at Jacksonville."

King did suggest that "nicked" pass rushers Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis are the prime candidates for rest. The Colts offensive stars will almost certainly play at least a half this week, though they could be further limited the following week. History suggests Peyton Manning will play just one series in Week 17.

My other option is Palmer vs. SD which quite frankly scares the crap out of me as it should.

My only other option is Alex Smith @ Philly. I think I gotta go with Peyton and hope for the best. Week 16 Alex can take over at Detroit.

If its a close game I bet Manning stays in... would be a little silly to begin Resting perfectly healthy players with 3 games left plus a BYE.

Week 16 is where it will get ugly.

Is anyone rolling Addai out there? Mike Hart got 40% of the carries vs. Denver. Addai still got 5 catches though to add to his mediocre rushing stats. I probably will have to go with him. I probably will pay for it.

I like that Mathis and Freeney may sit, might help MJD out who I will need a lot of production from this week.

The Manning owner in my main league has only Fitzpatrick on his bench, and Jamarcus Russell is the only WW option. Ouch...

Got Manning on two teams left in the playoffs and D. Clark on one. No more waivers or trades allowed. Backups are Cassel and Henne. I am rolling with Manning in week 15 for now. I will go with Henne week 16 in that league and will see if there is any confirmation Peyton will play a half. If so , 1/2 Peyton starts over Cassel. D.Clark is gimpy so he will be protected. I have Z. Miller ( Raiders). Not the same but could be worse.

I'm just in the consolation bracket of the league where I have Peyton, and I'm going to roll with Henne. I think Henne will outscore Manning this week, so I'll start him.

any real insight to how much manning will play. my only other play is alex smith, but if manning plays, and plays aggressive for at least a half id be comfortable with rolling manning out there.

Division game last time they played the final was 14-12. I think Indy has their hands full here and I expect a battle. I bet Manning will play most of the game.

 I'm going with manning in my semifinals of my "big money" league. They MIGHT pull him if they get up by 14 in the late 3rd or early 4th but it's unlikely that they get to that point.

Unless I'm missing something I see little chance of him not playing the whole game as usual. I mean how do you define "out of hand"? Up 17+ with less than 7 minutes to go in the 4th? Whatever the definition is, I don't see this game playing out like that.

Starting peyton week 15 is a no brainer unless youre in a small league and/or have a great qb2.

Week 16 is the tougher call. I may be forced to roll with henne or fitPatrick or maybe a chris redman if ryan is not back by then.
