It is time again to kick off the FBG Consensus draft.

Make your selection for the choice that you feel is the most likely to happen. If you also think that the pick will go one direction, but should be another selection then feel free to make that part of your commentary (eg stating the the Rams will pick a QB but should go DL and why). If you pick trade down or other, then please add your commentary -- but remember you are voting on what you think will be the most likely outcome for the draft pick selection for each spot.

The Rams are on the clock:

NFL.com needs analysis:

St. Louis Rams

Positions of Need:

QB, DL, WR, OL, RB

Needs Analysis: It's not every year that a team in need of a franchise QB gets a shot at one, but the Rams could get their chance with Sam Bradford. With how well he performed at Monday's workout, and if the doctors clear him, he will be the No. 1 overall pick. After that decision, it might be a good idea to move down in the other rounds and get multiple picks to fill up the roster. At least one wide receiver is a must, and a third-down running back would help if they don't add one in free agency. The defense needs help at left defensive end.

Even though Suh should be the top guy taken, I see the Rams getting ready to replace Bulger with Bradford...one B for another...

In January the conventional wisdom and opinion seemed to be that Suh should be the pick. Now that Bradford has had a fantastic pro day and his shoulder seems to be fine, the tide of popular opinion seems to be surging towards Bradford now.

The pressure is there to take Bradford and the medical reports came in with a clean bill of health but in the end they are risking paying 40 million dollars to a player with an injury history and putting him behind a porous offensive line. They draft Suh here because they can't trade out of the spot. They need to get better in at least one phase of the game with the player they choose in this spot. With Suh they will be better against the run and it will hopefully create more room for Chris Long to develop as a pass rusher.

Solid analysis that goes against the "Bradford is a lock for this pick" thinking. Hard to pass up a franchise QB that some think is one of the better ones to come out in a decade.
