Needs Analysis: The Redskins got turned upside down in the offseason with a new general manager, Bruce Allen, and a new coach, Mike Shanahan. Both men can be deal makers during the draft, and the Redskins should be thought of as a team ready, willing and able to pull off a few deals. There's a quarterback question in Washington, and Jason Campbell may not be the answer. There's also a large void at left tackle with the retirement of Chris Samuels. Allen has cleared over $30 million from the contract books, but the team is headed to a new 3-4 defense and needs personnel to complete the project. Albert Haynesworth doesn't want to be the nose tackle in the 3-4 scheme spending his days holding the point against double teams. So the Redskins need to go find a true nose tackle in this draft.

I went with Trent Williams. Shanahan left behind a great Left Tackle in Denver and perhaps he will see another Ryan Clady in Williams.

Campbell will be much better with the Shanahans coaching him up; the whole offense should improve with these guys calling the plays. They can take a Lefevour, Skelton or Crompton in the later rounds as a developmental player.

The Washington Redskins hold the fourth overall pick in the NFL draft -- and it appears that former Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen is on their radar.

The Redskins have scheduled Clausen to fly to Washington Friday night and spend Saturday visiting with team officials, including coach Mike Shanahan, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The Redskins also will hold a private workout with Clausen in South Bend, Ind., on April 15, a workout that Shanahan is expected to attend, the source said.

Last week, Shanahan said he would not name a starting quarterback ahead of training camp.

Jason Campbell has been the starter since 2006, but Shanahan said he would monitor Campbell's progress throughout the team's offseason conditioning sessions and minicamp.

The Redskins already have scouted Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford and Florida's Tim Tebow. In addition, the team signed former Bears starter Rex Grossman on March 17.

Quarterbacks Colt Brennan and Richard Bartel also are on the Redskins' roster.

After meeting with Clausen on Saturday, the Redskins will turn their attention to offensive linemen next week.

They are scheduled to meet with Oklahoma State offensive tackle Russell Okung, whom many regard as a top-five pick, according to a league source. Okung already has visited the Detroit Lions, Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Redskins also are expected to bring in offensive linemen Trent Williams and Bryan Bulaga for visits next week.

I'm a little surprised to see WR not listed as a need. But I guess with Santana Moss, Devin Thomas and Malcolm Kelly they're all set.

Not buying the Clausen rumors, I think he's headed for a drop. Campbell gets a year to show Shanahan if he can improve and the Skins get much needed OT help.

Okung will be the consensus pick but I think the Redskins go with Clausen here.

Shanny builds teams from the inside out. Thus Okung is my pick and it is the correct one for the team as well. This should be a slam dunk pick as both BPA and greatest team need meet.
