It's been reported that Oakland and Buffalo had deals on the table but Reid wanted to send McNabb somewhere he wanted to go because he felt he owed it to him. Hope this doesnt bite them in the ###.

Very surprised he was traded in the division.

I think the Eagles may have priced themselves out of most options and took what was there.

They must have thought Bradford wasn't going to be there. Any chance Jason Campbell was involved?

Does McNabb fit Shanny's style? Is this a bandaid as they draft a QB to develop this year? Redskins won't be the bottom of the division this year... Eagles might be though.

Here's what Glazer had to say:

Been a few days since we have heard a McNabb rumor. This one comes from Fox Sports' Jay Glazer, who somewhat offhandedly mentions on Twitter: "Here's a new one. Actually heard Skins made inquiry.""To clarify, there was more than just mild interest from Skins for McNabb. Heard they even talked players."Glazer later replies "absolutely" when asked whether McNabb has played his last game with the Eagles."Team is trying to trade him someplace he'll be happy. Have offers but andy is trying to do him right."Glazer has said the Eagles have offers from Oakland and Buffalo -- as has been reported -- but Reid does not want to send McNabb to an NFL wasteland.

When Favre retires Vikings fans will be pissed.
Or we'll just respect the Eagles for having more balls to treat their aging QB with respect than the Pack did by respecting his wishes, even when that meant trading him to a division rival.

mcnabb owner's could have done worse than going to a shanahan-led offense...

while WAS still appears to be ranked fourth in the ultra-competitive NFC East, this could tighten things up...

cool of reid to trade mcnabb to a good destination...

i assume they will try & sign him to a long-term contract, and aren't renting him for a year?

signs continue to increasingly point in the direction of bradford to the rams.

That's pretty cool of the Eagles/Reid.
Andy and Donovan came into Philly in 1999 together and have been in lockstep with the ups and downs of the organization.Doesn't surprise me that if Andy can get comparable value and also give Donovan a decent home that he'd do this.(The alternate view? Now the Eagles will be able to go up against him twice a year and exploit all of his faults).

See north/west Europe for the answer.
I rely on you for this type thing, I'm pretty lazy and uninformed on some things. Cliff notes version?
good article on DenmarkShort answer is that many of them are museums or privately owned. The churches that are open in the Netherlands, Denmark and Germany among other places, are empty.

ETA: One more
Europe is pretty much screwed if they keep going in their current direction. They are losing their religion, they don't have kids, and have to import foreigners to have enough young working-age people. Won't be too long before its a completely different civilization.
Leave it to Snyder to make the announcement on MLB's opening night. Can't help but want to be the center of attention.

Pencil in Okung at #4 to beef up the Redskins line?

This thread went weird.

One thing is for certain...Shannahan is too smart to draft the overrated Clausen.

Kiper is out to lunch on this kid.

Things will get real interesting if the Lions take Okung at 2.

Adam Caplan says its a 2nd this year and a 3/4 next year.
Jay Glazer corroborates... #37 and 3 or 4 next year
That's a lot to give for a 34 year old QB in a contract year.
they might have had to pay two more 1sts for bradford, in addition to the 2nd...perhaps he can play for three or more years... that buys a lot of time to groom a draft a replacement or make another surgical trade?
