It's been a long two days, but we are super close now. Bruce and I always seem to forget how hard this thing is to build each year.

Give me about 30 minutes and these will both be posted. and yes the first versions are always 100% free

C'mon Bruce, this is close, but it is no Tomahawk Missile !!!

Now that we have Draft Dominator - What version of MFL import can we use to import our MFL teams ? I see MFL import is not available, any chance the new one is coming out soon ?

Thanks Kev

Amazing product, giving it away is pure genish, anyone with a bit of intellect can see the value of subscribing immediately after figuring out how it works.

Not sure if this is the right place for this (still feeling my way around the forum) but the Cutler projections seem absurdly low when you compare what every journeyman QB has done in a Mike Martz offense. Kitna (7th rnd) threw for 4k yards twice, Bulger (6th rnd) was extremely productive for a 2.5 year stretch and Bagboy Warner (undrafted out of ValuMart) put up some decent numbers too. Hell, even Shaun Hill was a borderline QB1 for 8 weeks under Martz.

Cutlers going to throw a ton of stupid picks (like always) but the TD's and especially the yards seem way too low to me.

Quick Q from someone who's never used DD before (First year on FBG). Is it possible to use this for Dynasty startups or is it mainly for redraft leagues?

Both the MFL Import and Projections Dominator will be released soon (likely Thursday night)
Will the MFL Import work correctly this year? The defenses and nicknames of players has always been a point of contention for me (Cadillac Willaims in DD vs. Carnell Williams @ MFL). I asked this question in the correct forum last year, but have not had a response.

I first touched it last night and yes, you can import players to the keeper list and assign them their proper draft slot before running mock drafts with it.

Thanks, may need a more detailed explanation of how to go about doing this at some point but I'll be sure to check it out when I get home. Powercut last night stopped me getting involved yesterday :)

I remember having an issue with it for IDPs. If our league has DTs, DEs, CBs, and Ss, will we be able to import them now? And will it be easy to switch them over when an updated DD comes out with those separate designations?

David/Bruce,I appreciate all the effort that goes into DD. The suite of tools - DD, PD, LD and MFL Import are essential tools for any FF player and I've turned many of my friends into paying subscribers because of them. I believe in the products and I hang out a lot in the APPS forum and help answer questions.

That said, I'm disappointed in the lack of updates made to DD and LD. Maybe the premium version will have some fantastic upgrades. But for over 2 years we've been asking for features and enhancements. And for the most part, these requests have gone answered and unaddressed.

Some of these may be more difficult to implement, but most are simple. Take a look at the list yourself.

So, anything you can do to spring Bruce loose to update these or bring somebody else in to help him would be appreciated!!

X2While I think it's great that FBG is on the cutting edge with the new I-phone/mobile technology (and this new TIF thing) I also believe that upgrades should be considered for the applications which have helped make you the KING of fantasy football websites. Yes, the Dominator series is great.....but it could be so much better!! I just don't understand the reluctance to make improvements. If there aren't going to be any improvements, the least that could be done is a simple reply in the request threads stating such with an explanation why.

After downloading the program I can see it again will not work. Is there a reason that the XML file that they provide for download can't be used?

For VBD can we enter our own tiers? my leagues tiers for bonus are different (point per yard type high scoring league)

10 bonus point(s) for scores from 20 to 39 yards.

25 bonus point(s) for scores from 40 to 59 yards.

40 bonus point(s) for scores from 60 to 79 yards.

55 bonus point(s) for scores from 80 to 100 yards.

You cannot adjust the pre-set tiers for length of TD's scored.....you just need to enter the appropriate value in the tiers provided.

Any idea what version (or when) the "Rate This Team" function in the DD will work? It doesn't seem to be functioning yet but I figured there's some subjective explanations and text that has to be incorporated still.

Rate My Team just went LIVE tonight so it likely doesn't work in this version. We will likely compile one more free version that has this functionality.

Thanks David. Didn't realize it would be up so quick if it wasn't already in there. Cool.

As for the Draft Dominator enhancements, we promise to look at that list soon here. We wanted to get some things out of the way like Today in Fantasy and our mobile platforms.

Bruce is just one guy and although he would never tell you this, I will. He lost his wife last year to cancer so the last three plus years has been him taking care of multiple kids, working his real job, programming for us and caring for his sick wife.

We get it that there are a lot of things people want in these apps. Our goal here with TIF, the mobile piece and just knocking this year out of the park is to make enough money that we get Bruce on staff fulltime. You guys want a lot more features on these apps, then help us get more subscriptions. It's that simple really. I am not trying to be rude here, but that's the reality. To get more fulltime staff, we have to increase our revenue sources. Sadly adding 100 features to the Draft Dominator that most FBGs won't tell their league mates about doesn't help us get more subscribers.

So on Bruce's plate right now (besides raising his great kids and working the other job):

FBG Mobile

Base versions of DD, PD, LD, and MFL Import

Enhancements to all of these apps

These things for the Mac platform

These things for the iPad / Mobile platform

No matter how we prioritize this list, not everyone will be happy. And until we can make Bruce fulltime, we unfortunately will not be completing this entire list.

David, Nobody here is taking Bruce to task for not getting these upgrades done, but as paying subscribers who've been very supportive of the DD, it's been frustrating to to get zero feedback from the staff - yourself included. And is often the case, the best explanation is just the truth. Thank you for the explanation. It's very much appreciated. Please drop in from time-to-time. Not all of us hang out in the Shark Pool - so announcements of Applications and Improvements are welcome here too. Bruce, my deepest condolences for your loss. As you know there is a small army of guys here who know the software well. When you need some testers, please drop us a line.

I am so sorry for Bruce's loss.......please pass along my condolences. My heart goes out to him and his family.I now know why he hasn't been around the Applications forum for quite some time, and it is certainly understandable. But you guys knew why he wasn't responding and still no one came by to at least give us a little bit of info. Somebody could have just stated that the request threads were appreciated and that you were considering which direction you wanted to head for this year. Anything but silence would have been appreciated on our end. All that being said, I won't comment on it any more. I've said my peace, both here on the boards and in email correspondence with Joe. Thanks very much David for finally giving us some feedback!! On to your next point:I guess I'm in the minority here, but I've been pimping this site for many years....to anyone who would listen. I've gotten half my league to subscribe and the rest of the league knows about the DD because I openly use it at the draft every year for each league I am in. Some of those guys who do not subscribe are here on the message board anyway, so they know about the site. I couldn't tell you why they don't subscribe other than maybe they feel they get enough free stuff that they don't have to. I don't know.I did my part through the Street Team experiment last year also. You guys didn't choose my question to answer in the interview thread, so I have no idea if the Street Team was considered a success or not. Didn't this experiment increase your subscriber numbers? Are you really saying that we as subscribers need to do more to bring in additional subscribers otherwise these apps will most likely sit in limbo for the foreseeable future? If so, just WOW! I wouldn't say that is being rude, but it sure opened my eyes.BTW, I really love this site and just about everything you guys do here. Please don't take this post as anything more than constructive criticism.Rody

I agree that we need to publish our to do list. Bruce and I have a lot to get done to get FBG Mobile 1.1 ready and then I will be at the FSTA conference next week. But when I return I promise we will generate a todo list for the apps (and also let everyone know the things that won't be happening this year)

What is the benefit of the import from MFL?
It allows you to take your draft from the Draft Dominator and import into MFL for a quick league setup.
Unless I entirely missed this last year (which is certainly possible), the MFL import actually goes the other way; it allows you to import your MFL league scoring rules (and also, I think, your post-draft MFL rosters) into DD. It would be *awesome* if you could actually take your DD draft results and import that into MFL but I don't think that is currently possible.

As always my direct approach with words usually gets me in trouble. We completely get that people keep FBGs as a secret weapon so they can win their leagues. So no we don't really expect people to help get us more customers. But it is a unique business in that way. If we were the great Italian restaurant and crushed things, everyone would tell their friends. In this space the better you are, the less people talk about you to their league mates. It's the main reason we continue to try and branch out with new things. The Street Teams was one of those efforts. And although I am sure you knocked it out of the park, the overall project wasn't much of a success. I believe we tracked less than 150 new subscriptions. We did add quite a few emails though so it's possible we will reap some the rewards going forward. But again, I am not trying to be rude here. We loved the Street Team concept. We are trying to partner with businesses like Hooters, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc and do something very similar again this year.We did get a land rush of new people on our free email list with our Rate my Team feature last year. Our strategy this year is mostly about trying to get a lot of people familiar with what we are doing. We believe Rate My Team, FBG Mobile and Today in Fantasy will lead that charge. To keep them as subscribers though, we know we have to keep refining the apps. It's always a delicate balancing act of resources and time on our end.
