Please forgive me if this thread has been done, elsewhere. Like you, I have drawn the coveted #4 spot in a 12 team serpentine draft. Let's discuss. A few thoughts I have:
1) We are obviously very lucky. The consensus is that there are 4 "can't miss" backs, and we are sure to get one of 'em (barring injuries). I am a little concerned about Rice. But I think he has a high upside. So I am fine with any of the "Top 4"
2) How do you guys rank these first 4?
3) I think it is imperative to get one of the "top" WRs in the second round. WRs are going fast in the mocks that I have done.
4) What to do with that 3rd pick? I would love to take an elite WR there (I see lots of RB potential in the middle rounds). But I think the elite receivers will be gone by then. So I have considered one of the QBs that I like (Brees, Rodgers, Manning, Romo) there. Might a case even be made for Gates there? Too early for a TE (especially in a year where there is depth at that position). But I want to have a QB/RB/WR/WR/TE after five rounds, and pick a slew of RBs in rds. 6-8.
Thoughts?
