Mike X Williams SEA WR will breakout in week 6 (1 Viewer)

Many have forgotten that BMW started the year with 4 rec 64 yards with 1 redzone target his first game back in the NFL. Also in week 1 he was brought down at the 1 yard line after a 35 yard catch in what could have been an even bigger 2010 debut. Then in week 2 he suffered a thigh injury. In week 3 he had a shoulder injury. Now after the bye week he is back to full health. Deon Branch is gone. Although the Seattle passing attack hasn't shown much this year, their WR1 receiver contributed to that due to injury. With Butler and Tate stepping up it will create more opportunities for BMW. At 6'5 235 he is a redzone target. Coach Carroll will also give him every opportunity. I expect lots of targets in week 6.

Week 6 prediction: 7 rec 80 yrds 1 TD

"Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said he believes WR Mike X. Williams can be the No. 1 receiver for the Seahawks this season and wants Williams to show that he can fill that job, reports Eric Williams, of The Tacoma News Tribune. 'I think there is an expectation of that,' Carroll said. 'I think I've seen him that way. He was drafted to be that way. And now that we've seen him after really a long period of time of really being consistent, we should expect Mike to make things happen and control aspects of the game. He's a big dude catching the football. So we'll find out. We have to keep going to him to make sure that happens.'

I'm guessing Calvin Johnson misses this week, so I need a replacement. I picked up L. Robinson, but have my eye on Williams. Just don't trust the Hawks on the road vs a tough Chicago defense.

Hawks fan here. While starting Seattle players on the road is generally a bad idea, starting them on the road for 10 am starts is a complete disaster. I don't have the numbers in front of me but we suck big time playing out east in the morning. And it's nothing new.

Cut bait with him Monday, and my opponent picked him up and is starting him against me. 100% chance of breakout.

That being said, I still think the Seattle WR situation is a total mess. Have to think they'll want to kick the tires plenty on their new 'toy' in Lynch this week too...

Seattle DST at home is the only SEA player I am considering in redraft non-IDP.

BMW has seemed constantly nicked up. Is that a correct assessment?

Dude let the Mike "X" love go...he is down right putrid as a player, he sucks, not worth a thing. I'd cut him for a kicker, wait I already did, wait I didnt even own him, cuz he sux. I have no reason to hate the guy except for he is a quitter and not good.

Now can we keep the Mike X BS to one thread, seeing as how there is about 73 already.

Thats a lot of threads for a guy who sucks eggs.

I cut bait this week as well. He's going to go off.
They said that 3 years ago, and even 2 years ago...They said it earlier this year and they are saying it now....

...but its never happened, hmmm, does that mean hes wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy over rated and is just not good at all. YUP

crazy enough I think the move is stokley here
Not crazy by any means. Pete Carroll "raved" about how Stokley has come in and picked up the offense so quickly, and made moving Branch to New England a no brainer (although I think that trade was an absolute blessing for the Hawks). Chicago is gonna bring the heat on Hasselbeck, and there's not going to be much time to look down field (IMO). Stokley should get lots of looks underneath (ala Wes Welker). In PPR........he's a viable WR3-WR4 if you're in a pinch due to injury or bye week issues.

It's pretty impressive how frequently Football Critic is on the wrong end of these sorts of exchanges.

Nice call!

It's early but having Okung and Lynch in the lineup has definitely helped the passing game. Hass is getting time to throw.

Lol. Now, the mark of a man is if he can actually admit when he's flat out wrong. Let's see if he's back in here to admit that he was wrong.

classic . . .

I wonder if he got any redzone targets. But nice stat line 10 rec 123 whopping yards. He's definitely an add for PPR leagues.

You just couldn't leave it alone. You were just as bad in the old thread as well.FC, you're too much of a tool to even bother with.

how did he look?
Like the Seattle #1 WR. Used his size well in traffic. Moved the sticks. Made a very nice catch in close quarters at the goal line that led to the Lynch TD.This said, you could still see the sophomoric kid in him after catching a longer pass resulting in a first down. His first reaction was to stand up and strut down field pointing. This is the exact thing I couldn't stand about Burleson. Not sure if anyone caught it last week, but as Burleson was running into the endzone he was far from having the ball secured with a defender hanging off of him. I won't be surprised to see Williams do something similar before the end of the year. For some guys its more important to celebrate and self-promote than it is to win the game. I fear Williams boarders on that same behavior. Time will tell.

I agree, but this type of thing is a microcosm of the NFL, so I don't know if it's me being a bit of a traditionalist or indicative of a personal trend?

Dwayne BowePretty sure FC said he was so bad he shouldn't even be rostered in any format.

It just hasn't been a good week for FC..

NO! He does SUCK! What a waste of a pick on him!
 Did you see the drops? If you cant score, let alone catch a ball, I have a spot for you on the waiver wire.Bowe is down right horrible, I mean really, did you see this so called NFL player have the dropsies? Not worth rostering in even a 10 man league, to many scrubs out performing him.Keep it simple, points win titles, not names!

Drafted Mike X and held him becasue this is what he is capable of. He got injured week 3 and was questionable but played injured week 4 . Hes healthy now and hassleback looked for him all day. and the TD's will come. Dude is 6-5. Im sure he will be a good red Zone target going forward.

This is the BMW thread. Keep it on topic.

I picked him up preseason in dynasty and haven't started him yet, but will now consider it as needed. He can certainly reach the field for me as a flex/WR4 for me.

No worries, I won't drag out your quote on Bowe from the other thread  Really happy for BMW, who doesn't like a great turnaround story.Basically he has had two monster games when he was healthy (WK 1 & 6), and was battling injuries the other 3 games.I like him a lot going forward.

Difference maker this week? LT Russell Okung was healthy and productive for the first time this season. He kept DE Julius Peppers in check the whole game allowing QB Matt Hasselbeck time to get the ball out. Seriously, Peppers was a no show.

 Sounds like a guy who cut BMW and the guy that picked him up shreded your ###. :lmao: I owned BMW when he was a rookie, dropped his ### when he decided to eat cheesburgers, followed his progress off season and grabbed him up in our dynasty draft. Do you say that to all 1st posters? :lmao: I know talent. This guy can't see it and only looks at past performance blindly.
