Welcome back, Big Ben!!Welcome back Little Ben!!!
29 yards into the endzone. What the TD pass look like? Deep throw? Many targets for Wallace already is very encouraging...
Oop... forgot that I was on DVR time. That happened like 20 minutes ago.Joe Haden picks off Ben in the redzone... shows some serious returner moves in getting it back to the Pitt 40ish.
Well any helmet to helmet should be called but I will say that was accidental. He was ready to hit him hard but cribbs got slowed up and started to fall. I thinkHarrison's going to get fined for that hit. Not sure how he didn't get a flag.
Yeah... twice in one game. That hit on Massaquoi looks like a fine to me.Harrison should have been called again..
I love these uniforms...Apparently Silverback does tooAre there other Steeler fans who hate these uniforms as much as I do? I don't understand why they do this once or twice a year. Those yellow helmets are terrible.
Which hit? Its legal to hit a RB in the head which Cribbs was on that case...The hit on Massaquoi looked like shoulder to helmet on the 1 replay I sawHarrison's going to get fined for that hit. Not sure how he didn't get a flag.
The Browns have been playing well as of late.Hanging around has plenty to do with them.Steelers again letting a team hang around. Not a fan.
Current pace is 14-6 and Ben is getting his stride back.Sep 12 @Tampa Bay Lost 14-17 Sep 19 Kansas City Lost 14-16 Sep 26 @Baltimore Lost 17-24 Oct 3 Cincinnati Won 23-20 Oct 10 Atlanta Lost 10-20
I was just looking at the numbers here, if he keeps this alive for 8 more games he will pass TO and Marvin Harrison to move in to 2nd place all time (Jerry Rice with 274 won't be caught). TO's streak ended last year.ALERT: Steelers WR Hines Ward has a reception in his 183rd consecutive game, tying Art Monk for fourth longest streak in NFL history.
Likely better than most thought he would, but not as if he set the world on fire either. His yardage was pretty decent when you look at his end game #s, but he did most of his damage underneath to backs and TEs, and with zero threat of the deep pass(don't recall him taking one shot deep) the Steelers were pretty much able to load up in the box and squash their run game. He needs to work on his cadence too, because I stopped counting how many times the Steelers had someone in their backfield the moment he'd snap the ball. I think he was tipping the count somehow.Pittsburgh didn't blitz him anywhere near what I expected. Yeah, they sacked him 5 times, but they dropped guys an awful lot on 3rd downs, no doubt to try and confuse his reads, allowing him a lot of time to hit those underneath routes. I guess in the grand scheme it worked, since they picked him off twice and held the Browns to 10 points(7 of which were in garbage time when the 2nd teamers were in there), but it wouldn't have been shocking to see them go all out on him and drop him 8-10 times. Didn't seem to be the gameplan though. When the Steelers DID release the hounds on him, he looked pretty uncomfortable. Was quick to pull the ball down and didn't try to step up in the pocket and make a play that I remember. He should have had at least one more INT on his stat sheet too(threw one directly into Woodley's man-bubble and he dropped it).For a rookie getting his first start, against that D, he didn't look like he was completely useless...and I expect most people expected him to look like an utter train wreck.how did Colt look?
Hate when important guys get hit in the head on borderline/cheap plays.Of wait, I was thinking of the Bengals game in Week 4, my bad.-QGPorkchop said:Yeah... twice in one game. That hit on Massaquoi looks like a fine to me.PennStater77 said:Harrison should have been called again..

There was no flag on either play... correctly IMO.johnb said:cribbs hit wasn't his fault. mass hit was. i am sick of seeing crap calls against the qb and stuff like that, but harrison went high there. there was no attempt at a true form tackle and wrapping him up. he was trying to jack him up. plain and simple. i don't mind letting these guys play so all he has to do is blow through the guys body and there is no flag.
