Game Thread W6 - Baltimore V New England (1 Viewer)

This is one of the two most interesting games on the schedule this week, only in this one the teams are actually good.

From what I've been reading in the Boston Globe, the Patriots are taking this one very seriously after their loss at home in the playoffs last year. And with two weeks for Belichick to get ready, the Ravens will be facing an uphill battle in this one, Moss or no.

 
Good luck today, Patsies. I know a lot of the national media is on the Ravens but I don't have a good feeling about this one. 23-17 NE

 
Don't want to diminish what a nice drive that was to get things started but they really needed 6 there. Threes won't get it done against Brady.

 
Nice drive by Pats. Started with a 31 yard grab by Aaron Hernandez, then a nice Brandon Tate reverse, and then a Green-Ellis rushing td.

Pats got a steal in Hernandez.

 
Merriweather is going to ride the pine the rest of the game, I'd bet. Between the cheap shots and his constant free-lancing, he's impossible to coach.

They play that song so much I didn't even notice. I'm sure the two weren't connected. I hope that was just a dumb play and not a cheap shot on Heap because I really like Todd Heap. They just said Heap had a stinger and he will return.

My daughter got pissed and left the room. She met Heap at her school last year. Still smitten.

He's the kid who stomped on the player at Florida a few years back. I wasn't thrilled when they drafted him. He's a talented player but not one I like rooting for.

Time to cure some of these offensive mistakes and put another score on the board before the half. Pats are getting pretty decent pressure on Unibrow.

 
Pats play calling is CRAP, no creativity on 3rd down. Whoever is calling plays should be fired now. How they can be so stupid from one drive to the next is ridiculous.

He's got a lot of talent and is a decent player who should get better with time, but he's overrated.

An asset as a receiver, but not sure why they insist on running him other than draws. Also, this offense, like the announcers said, does remind me of their super bowl dink and dunk offense. I hated watching it as a fan, but it was effective.
 
Man, every time I see Ngata, it reminds me of what a horrible decision the Packers made by taking AJ Hawk over him. Ugh.

There were questions about his intensity level in college but he's been nothing short of a monster here in baltimore. He might be their best defensive player right now.Pats defense has also stepped up nicely. Ratbirds haven't moved the ball in the last 3-4 possessions.
 
Terrible clock management by Belichick there. All 3 timeouts and you let the clock tick down to under 40 seconds, THEN you call one?

Bad.

 
Meh, prudent enough call, his timeout forced the Ravens to punt rather than go for it... they could have gotten into FG range.

 
I think Merriwether just got away with another helmet-to-helmet with that shot on Mason.
