Wildcat package. They just use an actual QB.Why is Josh Johnson in?
After I post this, he has two MORE runs for a TD. A sprawling, falling TD where he was upended, at that. He's had runs of 12,24,3,17,17 on this drive.Blount's ripped off two long runs. Just enough quickness and wiggle to get through the hole, then powering upfield through arm tackles.
and what a TD run!!!Blount Force Trauma being applied by the Bucs early. This could get very interesting.
1-10-TB1346) L.Blount up the middle to TB 25 for 12 yards (N.Harris).
1-10-TB25 (15:00) (Shotgun) J.Johnson right end to TB 39 for 14 yards (J.Anderson).
1-10-TB39 (14:25) L.Blount right tackle pushed ob at CAR 37 for 24 yards (C.Godfrey).
1-10-CAR37 (13:57) L.Blount up the middle to CAR 34 for 3 yards (J.Beason, N.Harris).
2-7-CAR34 (13:19) L.Blount left tackle to CAR 17 for 17 yards (N.Harris).
1-10-CAR17 (12:32) L.Blount left tackle for 17 yards, TOUCHDOWN.![]()
Looking forward to the highlight on that TD run.Blount Force Trauma being applied by the Bucs early. This could get very interesting.

Only 7 pass attempts. They haven't been taking any downfield shots. Though he just got a target on attempt #8.Where has Mike Williams been?

See earlier post. The good news is that the last drive, they started opening up the passing game a bit. Winslow was the beneficiary, but it bodes well for Williams in the second half. Not getting this game locally...is MWilliams OK? Is it just that the Bucs are running the ball well enough that they're not passing it?![]()
I popped my cherry after watching that Blount TD run.Winslow popped his cherry!

Anyone actually watching this game? How's Clausen looking? From the stat line and a couple comments it sounds like things are a bit better but I still see a lot of passes to RB/TE's.
Overall, it's his best game as a pro. The Carolina OL is really up and down. Sometimes, he has time to throw but Talib and Barber are locking down receivers and making good plays on the ball. The rest of the time, it seems like there are 3-4 Tampa defenders in the backfield before he completes his 3-step drop. This is working well for Goodson, who's able to avoid the aggressive defense and scoot through the spaces they've left open. Negatively, I think he's still checking down too much, and needs to lead his receivers a bit more so that Tampa's corners can't make the plays they've been making. Note that some of the passes to TEs weren't checkdowns, but were middle-of-the-field passes. Rosario doesn't seem to run very good routes; maybe that's an erroneous impression, but between he and King they've been very uninspiring. That hurts.Overall though, it's good to see signs of progress from Clausen and life from the Carolina offense. How's Clausen looking? Thanks. I have him in a dynasty QB heavy league as a developmental guy.Hopefully this is a sign of things to come.Overall, it's his best game as a pro. The Carolina OL is really up and down. Something the announcer pointed out is that he's been making some nice reads, making some of his longer completions (including one to Clowney just now) when Tampa's in man and not zone. The game seemed to be going way too fast for him in his initial starts, but he's starting to catch up to things.Thanks. You think Gettis and/or LaFell can actually be viable WR's for him to grow with?Something the announcer pointed out is that he's been making some nice reads, making some of his longer completions (including one to Clowney just now) when Tampa's in man and not zone. I think they're both viable NFL WRs. I'm not sold on either of them being #1 material, but I think they can be effective complementary weapons to Smith. LaFell has some really nice run-after-catch skills and I haven't seen him make any huge errors in the few games I've watched. Gettis seems to struggle with aggressive coverage and still bodycatches a bit too much (though not all the time) but has flashed some real skill. He was raw coming in, though, so that's to be expected. You think Gettis and/or LaFell can actually be viable WR's for him to grow with?Something the announcer pointed out is that he's been making some nice reads, making some of his longer completions (including one to Clowney just now) when Tampa's in man and not zone.
