[Dynasty] Aaron Hernandez (1 Viewer)

Im thinking at this point you just sell him for a loss. He's neighboring the Fred Davis area of the rankings of players that *might* do something down the line but it's pretty obvious that Welker runs the same routes he does and as long as he's with the team, Hernandez's value is circling the drain. The Gronk is the TE to own on this team he's on the field all the time and if you could offer Hernandez straight for Gronk I think Id do it as Hernandez isnt the complete TE Gronkowski is. Jimmy Graham, Tony Moeaki I think are better prospects as well Id take Jimmy Graham in a heart beat for Hernandez and Moeaki would definitely get me thinking.

What are you planning on doing with him?

Patience, it's not a sprint, it's a marathon. Dynasty leaguers need to put him on their bench, pickup someone like Dressen or Boss and the Hernandez situation will take care of itself over time. Remember, he's the youngest player in the NFL.

I moved him in 1 league for Witten, where I am making a push.

It still is not an easy move for me.

He is VERY athletic and the only thing that will hold him back IMO is NE playcalling that spreads the ball around a lot.

What could his ceiling possible be? Gronk gets all the red zone love, Welker is better at Hernandez's routes I see no reason why NE would play Hernandez. Hernandez has entered Fred Davis territory.

You can't predict the future based on how he's being used at this very moment. Always trust the talent over situation long term.

I disagree, I think he's being outplayed by the other rookie Gronkowski. Gronkowski is more than Hernandez and in passing situations. If I owned Hernandez in dynasty, I would be concerned by the presence of Gronkowski as he usn't going anywhere soon.

I have him in 2 dynasty leagues and I am keeping him..what else would you like me to do with the guy ?

You my be right but this is why I dislike dynasty leagues. I don't want to have patience for things like that. Putting someone on your bench for 3 years and hope he turns into something. For all I know I'll be dead in 3 years. All I know is bench him, there 's close to 20 other Te's I'd start over him and what's sad is he's on a good passing team. I know, I know.....he's not part if the game plan, that's why he's out so much. I thought that was hilarious after the Pittsburgh game he said that like that was a good thing for him. No buddy, when the game plan is for you to be on the sideline and it's working, you have a problem.

Youngest player is a bad reason as Gronkowski is the same age (bye 6 months) and has one less year of college experience to boot. TD heavy I'd go Gronk. PPR I think I go Hernandez. If NE gets an RB in the draft, Gronk becomes a better play as he sees the field more an opens up the play action game.

Age has nothing to so with it. I hate relying on any Bellichrk players. Past my trading deadline. I'm seriously considering moving him pre-draft next year.

He's having a great rookie season for a TE. I don't think selling him at a loss right now after 3 down games is the best idea.Wait and see with this guy. Seems like a bit of an overreaction and panic to sell now just after three weeks of struggles. No reason to sell him right now.

Gronk was the more talented TE coming out of college. He would have been a 1st round pick if not for injuries.

Aaron is strictly a WR with a TE's body. He drops passes, has reportedly not been the hardest worker in practice and seems to be 1 dimensional.

Its NE so neither TE will ever be a Dallas Clark type FFB performer simply because Brady spreads the ball around so much.

Short term and long term Gronk is the TE to own. He's much more a matchup nightmare for defensive coordinators than Aaron is.

I moved him a few weeks back along with Knox for Deangelo(that didn't work out) and Steve Smith(south).

In case someone would like to see what trade value he has/had a couple weeks back.

NE along with the Saints have lots of weapons and on any given day...you don't know who will be utilized.

This is the key and I think Belichick loves that about Gronkowski. Did you see some of those catches he made yesterday, the dude can play.

Gronk is not the issue, Crumpler is...He's getting a lot of PT and it's taking snaps away from Aaron. I doubt Crump's going to be around forever, so I'd say both Aaron & Gronk can have value once they are the clear top 2 TE's

Hadn't heard this at all. Is there a link? Most of the practice reports I remember reading mentioned how he actually stayed longer than usual and worked with Brady individually. Does he really have that many drops? Other than the Baltimore game, I can't remember that many.Personally, I think both Gronk and Hernandez have looked great, and overreacting to a handful of bad games by a rookie TE seems rather silly in dynasty.
